But the best time to enjoy the splendour of this valley is from November to February and May to JuneNovember-February:  It is the peak season of tourist arrival in the hill station. During this time of the year, the valley is awash with vibrant colours of nature. The misty clouds in a clear blue sky add to the charm of the hill station. It is also an ideal time to partake in several adventure activities like trekking, camping, paragliding and hiking.May-June:  Summer season brings a spring charm to the valley. By Train: Take any train from Katpadi railway station that goes to Jolarpet such as the Chennai express. From Jolarpet bus stand( just outside the railway station), regular buses are going to Yelagiri hill station. The whole journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.By Bus: Board the bus from New bus stand to Vaniyambadi. From Vaniyambadi, hop on a bus to Yelagiri bus stop. It will take about 2-3 hours.By Cabs: Vellore to Yelagiri Is about 93 km drive and will take about 1.5 hours. Hire an outstation cab from Vellore to Yelagiri. The cab will cost about Rs. 500-600. It may not be the option to travel with a large number of people.
