CHIESA DELLA MADONNA DELL ORTO

A fine example of Italian Gothic architecture, Chiesa Della Madonna Dell’Orto is one of the best kept Places to visit in Venice. Constructed with elegant red bricks, the church is adorned with a magnificent facade, well-maintained cloister, elegant statue, a bell tower and a dome. 

Besides this, Venetian Renaissance painter Tintoretto was also buried inside the temple. You can witness two of his paintings hanging there for public display; Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple and Last Judgement. You must also note an empty space in the church where a third painting by the artist was kept but later it was stolen in the year 1993.
