San Giorgio Maggiore Overview
One of the most photographed sites of Venice, San Giorgio Maggiore is a classic church built on a distant island with the same name. The facade of the church is built using excellent white marble which gives this church an elegant look.

This contrasts with the colourful interiors which are very spacious and filled with natural light in the daytime. The choir and the high altar is separated with some columns giving it an amazing look. The three floors of the church are flooding with renowned paintings like ‘The Last Supper,’ ‘The Entombment of Christ,’ ‘The Fall of Manna,’ ‘Madonna enthroned with Saints’ and much more.

Lastly, you could reach the top of the basilica to witness a beautiful view of the main island.
