Kwan Yin Tong Temple Overview
The limestone hill at Gunung Rapat has a large number of cave temples including the Kwan Yin Tong temple. The temple houses about seventy five Kwan Yin statues. Kwan Yin is considered as the Goddess of Mercy. Located amidst the picturesque landscape, the temple also has a huge mural depicting the Buddha under the Bodhi tree. There is an area where the visitors can leave messages and many wish granting areas too. The temple complex has a lot to explore including a gigantic chess set, statues of eighteen arhats and animals. A trek uphill will provide you a great view of the surrounding limestone hills.
