Visa Requirements

If you are planning to book your Zanzibar family packages, you must understand the requirements for a visa application to the island. To be able to visit Zanzibar, you must obtain a Tanzania eVisa for tourism purposes. This eVisa remains valid for a single entry, offering a maximum stay of up to 90 days. For the eVisa, you must have a passport with at least six months of validity from the date of arrival. Additionally, you also require a digital copy of the passport biographical page, a passport-style photograph and proof of return or onward travel.

Along with that, you must have a credit/ debit card for the fee payment, which is around INR 8,500. The eVisa typically takes up to 10 business days to process. So, it is recommended to apply well before your trip. Upon approval, you will receive a digital visa via email, which you must print and present upon arrival in Zanzibar. In case you are unable to apply for the eVisa beforehand, you can also get a visa on arrival. However, this may involve longer waiting times.

Best Time to Visit Zanzibar

Zanzibar, with its tropical climate and rich culture, offers unique experiences all year round. Choosing the right time to book your Zanzibar family packages depends on your preferences and desires.

3) Waning Season: The warm and wet months from mid-March to early May also make up the island's waning season. These are transitional months where you can enjoy hot and sunny days mixed with occasional rains. The temperatures peak around 31°C, providing a warm escape just before the high season starts. With fewer tourists, these months offer reduced prices for flights and accommodations, offering a more laid-back experience of the island.
