Built in 1914, the Suncorp Stadium was previously known as Lang Park extensively used as the home for the ever popular Rugby league in Brisbane, Queensland. Being a popular attraction and majorly used playground, the stadium underwent a huge redevelopment which was completed by June 2003. This was a two year renovation project where the stadium fetched a completely new design demolishing all existing major stands. In the present day it is one of the most sought after rectangular stadiums used for sports as well as major events of the city. The capacity of the stadium has been increased to 52,500 seats. There are about 25 food and beverage outlets as well as 34 bars. Milton Road Rail station is the nearest station and for the pedestrian there is a direct pathway on the southern plaza connecting the station at the Stadium. Roma Street station is also nearby. Also it must be noted that public parking remains at a distance from where one needs to walk down to the stadium.
