Olavinlinna Castle Overview
Olavinlinna Castle is a castle that dates back to the 15th century. It is situated in Savonlinna in Finland in between the islands which connect two lakes named Haukivesi and Pihlajavesi. It is a popular tourist spot that is well known for its awesome architecture made by medieval stones.

A very famous opera festival is held in this castle every year in the summer season since 1912. This beautiful fortress was built by Eric Axelsson Tott in the year 1475. After that, it has become one of the best places in Finland to visit where you will not only be able to enjoy the heritage but also the intricate architectural designs..
