The middle peak of the famous Trishul massif, Trishul Peak II (6,690 m), stands tall over the Nanda Devi Sanctuary in Uttarakhand. It gets its name from its three-pronged shape and is the middle prong of the Shiva-like trio, which is framed by Nanda Ghunti and Mrigthuni on a dramatic north-south ridge.The trek starts in charming Kumaon villages like Kausani or Bedni Bugyal and goes up through lush green meadows to Base Camp. Expect a 6-7 day trip with good acclimatisation that lets you see and feel the mountain plants, animals, and rural hospitality.From Base Camp, the southern ridge of Trishul II opens up stunning views of the Himalayas. Climbers try to climb steep snow and mixed terrain with the help of experts. In the mornings, the summit offers views of Nanda Devi, Kamet, and Chaukhamba bathed in alpenglow, which is an amazing sight in the Himalayas.
