Al Badiyah Mosque Overview

The Al-Badiyah Mosque also known as the Ottoman Mosque is one of the eminent monuments in the Emirates of Fujairah,UAE.It is considered to be one of the most ancient mosques of the UAE and is listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tourists can reach the location from the Fujairah airport by car.The place is free of any entry fee

It is revered as the oldest most of the emirates which dates back to 1446. The curvaceous, short mudbrick structure adorned with four sepulchres rests on a single internal pillar. This bijou structure sets the Badiyah mosque apart from all the others in the Arab world.

Located north of Badiyah village on the low gradient of a hill, it is well worth walking up to the summit of the mosque which offers sweeping views of the Hajar Mountains and the Arabian Gulf.
