About Chausat Yogini Temple
One of the oldest heritage sites in the country, Chausat Yogini Temple was built in the 10th century by the Kalachuri kingdom, and still stands tall, enticing tourists and devotees from different part of India and beyond. This is one of the four Chausat Yogini Temples in India and is one of the major places to visit in Jabalpur.
The revered temple is adorned by the idols of Yoginis, Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. The design of the temple is simple yet captivating. Though the temple has been partially damaged, its magical aura is still intact. The hilltop location of this temple adds serenity to the experience of being here and offers breathtaking views of the natural beauty that surrounds this site.
