Bargi Dam Overview

Bargi Dam is one of the beloved Jabalpur tourist places that happens to be an earthen dam that was constructed over the river Narmada to serve a wide range of activities and manage the flow of the river to generate hydroelectricity.

The dam has a height of 226 foot and it extends over a length of 5.4 km. The construction of the dam was started in the year 1974 and it was completed in the year 1990. The dam, however, not only fulfils the agricultural needs of the state but it also happens to be one of the loved places to see in Jabalpur.

Location: Bargi Dam is located close to the city of Jabalpur.

Price: The entry inside the dam is free for all tourists. However, if you wish to go for cruise rides, you need to pay INR 90.

Timing: The dam remains open for visitors from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Best Time to Visit: You can come over to this dam at any time of the year. But it would be just amazing to come over to this place after the monsoons to witness the lush greenery all around the dam.
