How To Reach

To get to Zoji La, it is important to first reach Sonamarg, located 23.8 kilometres away. The drive to Zoji La from here is an adventure and takes around 1 to 2 hours. The road winds through rugged terrain, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. 

  • By Road: Sonamarg is well-connected to Srinagar by the NH1D (National Highway 1D). The road offers a scenic drive of approximately 79.4 kilometres that takes around 2 to 3 hours. JKSRTC (Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation) buses and taxis run regularly from Srinagar to Sonamarg. 

Best Time To Visit

Best Season: The summer months, especially May to June, are the best time to visit Zoji La. This is when the snow melts in the region, revealing the rugged beauty of the landscape.
