Cousin Island Overview
Cousin Island happens to be a small granitic island that is located about 2 km from the west of Praslin. This place has also been designated as a nature reserve that is protected under the law as per Special Reserve. This place has been conserved for more than about 50 years and at the present time it is in its best form.

The island extends upto 400 meters offshore to protect the fringing reefs. The granitic island became a popular nature reserve after it was brought by the International Council for Bird Preservation in the year 1968 to protect the fewer population of Seychelles Warbler.
