Sensoji is the oldest temple in all of Tokyo, and is one of the most revered Tokyo famous places, especially for Buddhists. The temple was built way back in 628 AD by two brothers in honour of the Kannon – the Goddess of Mercy. Today, this colourful temple is frequented by people from all over the world because of its religious significance, as well as its colourful architecture.
