    Mount Kilimanjaro

    One of the most visited tourist attraction of Tanzania is the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. It is home to the highest peak of Africa. Unlike the other parts of the Northern Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is visited not for its wildlife but by the chance to be awed by the snow capped mountain. Many even plan a summit to the Mount Kilimanjaro. You can climb the mountain at any time of the year however the best time to visit the mountain is from late June to October which is majorly during the dry season. This World Heritage Site was formed over a million years ago because of the volcanic movements which occurred along the Rift Valley. There are basically 3 points – Mawenzi, Shira and Kibo which came in existence over 750,000 years ago. The highest point of the mountain is the Uhuru Peak nestled on the Kibo. It is also one of the Seven summits of the world. Mount Kilimanjaro rises from the farmland on the lower level to the rainforest, further to the alpine meadow and then finally to the barren lunar landscape on the peaks. Slopes of the rainforest are a home to the leopards, monkeys, buffaloes, eland and elephants. The place is also a great spot for the bird watchers.


    Serengeti National Park


    Serengeti National Park is a vast treeless plain. It has thousands even millions of animals that are here on a lookout for the fresh grasslands. Being the largest national park of Tanzania, the Serengeti National Park attracts several thousands of tourists on annual basis. For nature and wildlife lovers, the best months to view the national park is between the months of December and June. Here the wet season is from March to May whereas the coldest months are from June to October. There is a yearly migration of wildebeest and zebra that usually takes in millions during the months of May or early June. You can also spot a massive heard of lions, cheetah, hyenas, hunting dog, jackals, leopard, bat eared fox, etc in the Serengeti National Park.     Zanzibar Beaches


    The archipelago of Zanzibar comprises of the islands of Pemba and Zanzibar.
