Thrillophilia Insight: Since accommodation, major sightseeing, transfers, and selected activities are already included in most Singapore tour packages from Bangalore, many travellers spend primarily on food, shopping, and optional experiences during their trip. This makes Singapore easier to budget for than many first-time international travellers expect.

What Makes Singapore Package Prices Go Up or Down

Singapore package prices from Bangalore can vary based on several factors, even for the same travel month:

  • Flight Costs: Direct flights on premium airlines like Singapore Airlines are usually more expensive than budget carriers such as Scoot or Air India Express. Convenient flight timings often come at a higher price.
  • Peak Travel Seasons: Prices rise during school holidays, Diwali, Christmas, New Year, and major events like the Singapore Grand Prix due to increased demand.
  • Hotel Category and Location: Hotels in Marina Bay, Orchard Road, and Sentosa cost significantly more than those in areas like Little India, Lavender, or Geylang.
  • Exchange Rates: Since many travel services are priced in Singapore Dollars (SGD), package costs may increase if the SGD strengthens against the Indian Rupee.
  • Package Inclusions: Tours with premium attractions, private transfers, or additional experiences usually cost more than standard sightseeing packages.

Thrillophilia Insight: Booking 2–4 months in advance often helps secure better rates on flights, hotels, and attraction tickets.

How to Reach Singapore from Bangalore (BLR)

Singapore is one of the easiest international destinations to reach from Bangalore, with frequent flights and a short travel duration.

Direct Flights from Bangalore to Singapore

The fastest and most convenient way to travel from Bangalore to Singapore is by taking a direct flight. Regular non-stop flights operate between Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), making the journey simple and hassle-free. Airlines such as Singapore Airlines, IndiGo, and Air India offer direct services on this route. The average flight duration is around 4 hours and 30 minutes, making Singapore one of the most easily accessible international destinations from Bangalore.

Red-Eye Flights for Early Arrival

Travellers looking to make the most of their time in Singapore can consider red-eye flights. These late-night departures usually leave Bangalore between midnight and the early morning hours, allowing passengers to arrive in Singapore shortly after sunrise. Since the flight takes about 4.5 hours, visitors can begin sightseeing on the same day without losing valuable vacation time. Airlines, including Singapore Airlines, IndiGo, and Air India, frequently operate these convenient overnight flights.

Singapore Visa Requirements for Indian Travellers

Understanding Singapore’s visa and entry requirements before departure can help ensure a smooth travel experience. Indian citizens need a valid visa and must also complete the mandatory SG Arrival Card before entering the country.

Singapore E-Visa for Indians

Indian passport holders are required to obtain a visa before travelling to Singapore. The application is submitted online through authorised visa agents or strategic partners. Applicants generally need a passport valid for at least six months, a completed visa application form, recent photographs, confirmed flight and accommodation details, and supporting financial documents.

Visa processing usually takes 3 to 5 working days, although applying a few weeks before departure is recommended to avoid any last-minute delays. In most cases, visitors can stay in Singapore for up to 30 days, subject to the conditions mentioned on the visa. Visa fees and service charges may vary depending on the application channel used.

SG Arrival Card Requirement

In addition to a valid visa, travellers must complete the Singapore Arrival Card (SG Arrival Card or SGAC) before entering the country. This is a mandatory online declaration required for immigration clearance and includes basic travel and health-related information. The SG Arrival Card should be submitted within three days before arrival in Singapore.

It is important to note that the SG Arrival Card is not a visa and does not replace visa requirements. Both the visa and the SG Arrival Card must be completed before travelling to Singapore.

Practical Tips for Bangalore Travellers Visiting Singapore

A little planning can make your Singapore trip smoother and more enjoyable. Here are some useful tips to keep in mind before you travel:

1. Use Cards for Most Payments

Singapore is largely cashless, and most hotels, restaurants, malls, and attractions accept international debit and credit cards. Forex-friendly cards can help reduce foreign transaction charges. It is still a good idea to carry a small amount of Singapore Dollars for purchases at some hawker centres and local shops.

2. Travel Around Using the MRT

Singapore's MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) system is clean, reliable, and connects most major attractions across the city. Visitors planning to use public transport frequently can consider a Singapore Tourist Pass, which offers unlimited travel on MRT trains and public buses for a fixed period.

3. Finding Indian and Vegetarian Food

Travellers looking for familiar flavours will find plenty of Indian restaurants throughout Singapore, especially in Little India. The area is home to popular South Indian and vegetarian eateries, while many hawker centres across the city also offer vegetarian-friendly meal options.

4. Stay Connected

Buying a local SIM card or eSIM at Changi Airport is a convenient way to access maps, ride-hailing apps, and travel information during your trip. Free Wi-Fi is also available at many attractions, shopping malls, and public spaces.

5. Carry a Light Umbrella

Singapore experiences occasional rain throughout the year. A compact umbrella or light rain jacket can be useful when exploring outdoor attractions such as Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa Island, and Marina Bay.

2. Hassle-Free Airport Transfers

Pre-arranged airport transfers between Changi Airport and your hotel ensure a smooth start and end to your trip. This allows travellers to avoid the stress of arranging transportation after arrival and focus on enjoying their holiday.

3. Pre-Booked Attraction Tickets

Popular attractions such as Universal Studios Singapore, Night Safari, Gardens by the Bay, and Sentosa Island experiences can be arranged in advance. Pre-booked tickets help travellers save time and avoid last-minute availability issues during peak travel periods.

4. Transparent Planning and Support

From accommodation details and sightseeing inclusions to transfers and travel assistance, travellers receive clear information about their itinerary before departure. This helps ensure a well-organised and stress-free travel experience.

The quality of this experience is reflected in traveller reviews as well. The experience for Singapore trip was amazing with thrillophilia. The planning and coordination was really flawless. The representatives and customer care was very co operative in all ways. Even ground co ordination was very well planned we didn't find any hiccups in the whole tour. Only thing we need to do from our part is early communication of any changes and they responded to it on time. We are very happy to choose thrillophilia as our travel friend, we have done both national and international trips and will again come back for more and more. Bon voyage!!!!

The Singapore–Malaysia tour had a really well-planned itinerary! Watching the sunset at Marina Bay Sands was absolutely breathtaking. The Thrillophilia team was super helpful throughout the planning process, patiently answering every question. Visiting Gardens by the Bay at night was totally worth it and a highlight of the trip. The Sentosa day felt a bit rushed, but overall it was a great experience and definitely worth the money.
