How to Reach Bali from Pune

Most Pune to Bali packages are planned around connecting flights, as there are no nonstop routes from Pune to Bali in 2026. So, you can start your Bali tour from Mumbai, Delhi, or any other major Indian city with a one-stop connecting flight. Total travel time for a Bali trip from Pune typically ranges between 10 and 14 hours depending on layover duration, airline choice, and time taken in travelling from Pune to the departure city.

Most travellers book a single-ticket itinerary from Pune Airport (PNQ) to Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), Bali, with connections through Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, or Bangkok. Airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Batik Air, and AirAsia operate these routes depending on the connection city. Travellers who prefer more flight choices sometimes drive or fly to Mumbai Airport (BOM) before boarding an international flight to Bali. Mumbai offers more daily departures and often shorter layovers, but you should leave enough buffer time between domestic and international flights if booking separate tickets.

After landing at Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar), reaching Bali's main tourist hubs is fairly straightforward. With Thrillophilia’s Bali tour packages from Pune, you will receive airport transfers upon arrival, making arrival much smoother after the long journey.

Visa Guide for a Bali Trip from Pune

Indian travellers booking Bali tour packages from Pune are eligible for an Indonesia Visa on Arrival (VoA), making Bali one of the easiest international destinations to visit. The Visa on Arrival allows a stay of up to 30 days for tourism and can be extended once for another 30 days. Travellers can also apply for an e-Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) before departure to reduce waiting time at the airport.

The Visa on Arrival fee is IDR 500,000 (approximately INR 2,700–3,000) per person. While the visa is issued on arrival, travellers should carry a passport with at least six months' validity, a confirmed return or onward flight ticket, hotel booking confirmations, and a completed customs declaration. Immigration officers may also ask for proof of sufficient funds during the stay.

Since visa regulations and entry requirements may change, it is advisable to check the latest updates on the official Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration website before travelling.

Best Time to Visit Bali from Pune

The best time to plan Bali packages from Pune depends on weather preference, crowd levels, and pricing expectations. Bali has a tropical climate with two main seasons, dry and wet, and each period creates a different travel experience. Travellers from Pune often choose Bali for its coastal weather and resort stays, but season choice still affects how smoothly the trip runs.

Dry Season (April to October)

Temperature Range: 24°C to 31°C

April to October is the dry season and the most preferred period for a Bali trip from Pune. Weather remains relatively stable with lower humidity and minimal rainfall, making it easier to plan outdoor activities like beach visits, temple tours, and island excursions. July and August are peak months with higher tourist movement and higher hotel prices, thus increasing your Bali trip cost from Pune. Booking in advance during this window helps secure better options.

Wet Season (November to March)

Temperature Range: 25°C to 32°C

November to March is the wet season, with higher humidity and occasional rainfall. However, rain usually comes in short bursts rather than all-day disruption. Many travellers still choose this period for Pune to Bali packages because prices are lower and resorts feel less crowded. Indoor experiences, spa sessions, and relaxed stays work well during this time.

Shoulder Season (May, June, and September)

Temperature Range: 24°C to 31°C

May, June, and September are often considered the best months to for a Bali trip package from Pune if you want a balance between pleasant weather and reasonable prices. The dry conditions continue during these months, making them ideal for sightseeing, beach hopping, island tours, water sports, and temple visits without the heavy crowds of July and August. Hotels and flights are also generally more affordable, allowing travellers to enjoy a comfortable Bali holiday while getting better value for money.

We were genuinely surprised by how much the Bali honeymoon experience delivered at this price point. The resort was beautiful, the couple's spa was genuinely luxurious, and the private sunrise Tegallalang rice terrace visit they arranged for us was unforgettable. A few small group aspects could have been more personalised for couples but the overall value and experience were exceptional.

Bali Tours From pune FAQs

Which Bali route should I choose?

For most Bali trips from Pune, Ubud combined with a beach area like Seminyak or Nusa Dua works best. This route balances cultural experiences, sightseeing, and relaxation without excessive travel. A longer Bali trip package from Pune can add Nusa Penida if time allows.

Which area should I stay in Bali?

Ubud is ideal for culture, greenery, and a slower pace, while Seminyak or Kuta suits beach access and nightlife. Nusa Dua works better for families and travellers who prefer quieter resorts. Most Bali tour packages from Pune include a combination of two areas for a more balanced stay.

What will the trip realistically cost from Pune?

Bali tour packages from Pune start from around INR 19,000 per person for a 4-day Bali trip package from Pune (without flights) and can go beyond INR 35,000 for longer 7-day itineraries with premium experiences. Including flights, the overall budget usually ranges between INR 45,000 and INR 1,10,000 per person, depending on the travel season, hotel category, and activities included.

Is Bali expensive for travellers from Pune?

No, not necessarily. Bali offers accommodation, food, and local transport for a wide range of budgets, making it suitable for both budget-conscious and luxury travellers. Your overall trip cost mainly depends on flights, hotel category, and activities you choose. Thrillophilia offers Bali packages across multiple price ranges, helping travellers plan a holiday that fits their budget without compromising on experiences.

How many days are enough for a Bali trip from Pune?

A 6 to 7-day itinerary is ideal for first-time visitors from Pune. It gives you enough time to explore Ubud, relax on Bali's beaches, visit famous temples, and enjoy activities like Bali Swing or a Nusa Penida day trip without rushing. Thrillophilia offers well-paced itineraries that balance sightseeing with leisure, making the holiday more enjoyable.

Is Bali visa-free for Indian travellers?

No. Indian passport holders are eligible for an Indonesia Visa on Arrival (VoA), which allows a stay of up to 30 days and can be extended once. Travellers can also apply for an e-Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) before departure for a quicker immigration process. Thrillophilia also provides visa assistance to make the documentation process simpler.

What is the best time to book Bali tour packages from Pune?

Booking your trip 2 to 3 months in advance usually gives you better flight fares and a wider choice of hotels, especially during the dry season between April and October. Early bookings are particularly helpful if you're travelling during school holidays or festive periods.

Are flights included in Bali tour packages from Pune?

It depends on the package you choose. Most Bali tour packages are land-only and include accommodation, airport transfers, sightseeing, and selected activities, while some premium packages may also include flights. Before booking, it is always advisable to check the package inclusions so you know exactly what is covered.

Is Bali suitable for honeymoon couples from Pune?

Yes, Bali remains one of the most popular international honeymoon destinations for couples travelling from Pune. Private pool villas, romantic beaches, sunset temple visits, candlelight dinners, and relaxing spa sessions make it ideal for newlyweds.

Can I customise my Bali itinerary?

Yes. Thrillophilia’s Bali trip package from Pune can be customised based on your interests, travel duration, and budget. You can add experiences like Nusa Penida, ATV rides, white-water rafting, Balinese spa sessions, yacht parties, or upgrade to premium resorts and private pool villas.
