Thrillophilia Bali tour packages from Mumbai start at INR 25,000 per person for a 5-day tour covering areas like Ubud and Kuta and range up to INR 50,000+ for 7 days. When Mumbai’s hustle gets a little too hectic, Ubud’s rice terraces and Nusa Dua’s beaches are exactly what you need to get the rhythm back in your life once again. With Mumbai (CSMIA) being one of the few cities in India with access to direct flights of 7 hours or short-connection routes to Bali (DPS) and a visa on arrival, you have every reason to start planning your trip right away.
Shaped by Balinese Hinduism, Bali’s culture is deeply rooted in spirituality, offering a complete change in scenery when compared to a financial hub like Mumbai. Bali’s atmosphere encourages you to slow down and take in the nature of Ubud, the black sand of Canggu, and cliffside sunset views at Uluwatu. While this side of Bali offers spirituality, the other side offers a completely different scene that Mumbai travellers would love even more. Bali provides accessible luxury with private villas and lively nightlife at beach clubs like Finns Beach Club and Potato Head Beach Club. This makes Bali perfectly suited for all Mumbai travellers, from backpackers and budget travellers to couples and friend groups.
After operating over 14,000+ Bali tour packages with a 4.7/5 rating by 400+ Mumbai travellers alone, our expert team here at Thrillophilia understands exactly how a Mumbaiker likes to travel. Our Bali packages from Mumbai are designed with AI inclusion to make ‘The Island of the Gods’ accessible and unique to every Mumbai traveller’s needs and preferences. We craft experiences with our data-driven itineraries instead of throwing together a checklist of destinations because you deserve to experience Bali exactly how you picture it.

How to Reach Bali from Mumbai
Mumbai is one of the few cities in India to provide direct 7-hour regularly operational flights to Bali. Being a Mumbaiker, travelling to Bali is already more convenient for you with reliable airlines like IndiGo and Air India operating this route.
Direct Flight from Mumbai to Bali
Departure Airport: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA)
Arrival Airport: I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS)
Duration: 7-9 hours, depending on the airline
Flight Fare: INR 26,000-35,000+ per person for economy class
Operating Airlines: Air India and IndiGo
Before You Book the Flight from Mumbai to Bali
If you want to opt for connecting flights for your Bali trip from Mumbai, airlines like Batik Air, IndiGo, Malaysia Airlines, and Singapore Airlines regularly operate this route with single stops. The fare ranges from INR 35,000 to 55,000 return, with a duration of 10-17 hours. Common layover cities include Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.
Why We Do Not Recommend It: Some connecting routes via countries like Malaysia and Thailand might require a visa or entry rules during long layovers, which direct flights completely prevent. Moreover, choosing direct flights over connecting flights saves you 10+ hours of flight time and reduces jet lag. Travelling via a connection would end in wasting at least half a day when you could be leisurely exploring Kuta.
To get the cheapest deals, book at least 2-3 months in advance. Late May and June offer the cheapest flight rates, with flights typically ranging from INR 26,000 to INR 35,000 one-way, while return fares average INR 38,000+. Use flight tracking apps to get alerts for fare drops.
Visa on Arrival (VoA) and Customs Authority for Indian Travellers
Bali offers a visa on arrival for Indian passport holders valid for 30 days, extendable once for another 30 days. Visit Indonesia’s official e-VoA website to stay updated on recent rules and requirements. With an application fee of approximately INR 8,000, you require a passport valid for 6+ months, a return/onwards ticket, a clear-background passport-sized photograph, accommodation proof, and proof of funds. It takes a processing time of up to 5 working days.
It is also mandatory to complete the ‘Electronic Customs Declaration’ (ECD) online before your arrival in Bali.
Thrillophilia’s tour packages from Mumbai to Bali include visa support for all travellers.
Best Time to Visit Bali from Mumbai
With its pleasant climate and ever-changing landscapes, Bali welcomes travellers year-round, each season revealing a unique side of this island paradise.
Peak Season (April to October)
With a temperature of 26°C to 30°C, April to October sees clear and cool weather with lower humidity. This is the perfect season for all outdoor sightseeing activities, especially watersports. The hotels and flights have inflated pricing during this time due to increased demand.
Seasonal Festivals: Galungan & Kuningan (occur every 210 days), Bali Arts Festival (June–July), Ubud Food Festival (May–June)
Best For: First-time travellers, outdoor-heavy itinerary, beach and sea enthusiasts
Shoulder Season (March and November)
This window in Bali sees a mix between short bursts of rain and gradually increasing humidity, with a temperature of 26°C to 31°C. The crowd is thinner, with hotels offering a 10-30% discount due to decreased demand. If you take some basic precautions for rain and plan your itinerary with a balance between outdoor and indoor activities, this is the best value window to plan a Bali trip from Mumbai.
Seasonal Festivals: Nyepi (March, Bali shuts down completely for 24 hours, including the airport) and Galungan (210-day cycle)
Best For: Solo travellers, couples, nature lovers (greener landscapes due to rain)
Low Season (December to February)
This is the peak monsoon season of Bali, with a temperature of 25°C to 31°C with frequent bursts of heavy rainfall, mostly during the afternoon/evening. This leads to a rich, green landscape all over the country, especially in Ubud. The crowd is very low, and the hotel prices are low except during the holiday weeks. However, the humidity can feel intense at times, and the seas don’t have suitable conditions for snorkelling/diving.
Seasonal Festivals: Christmas & New Year's Day, Chinese New Year (Jan/Feb)
Best For: Budget-friendly traveller, backpackers, an indoor-heavy itinerary
Thrillophilia Note: The Bukit Peninsula is one of the best destinations for surfing, swimming and enjoying beautiful landscape views. However, this is also one of the most dangerous coastal zones in Bali during the wet season, peaking from December to February. It experiences conditions like rough seas, strong currents, strong coastal winds, and 2.5-4m waves during alert windows. This can lead to surf hazards and landsliding risks. Expect to be delayed or restricted during your window in this period due to safety concerns.
This is one of the most popular attractions of Ubud in Bali. With Bali’s greenery, waterfalls, jungles, and rice paddies surrounding you, you swing at a height of 33-256 m. With a long dress, flowing with you as you swing high, a safety harness is attached to you for your safety. This is one of the best ways to enjoy the scenic views of Bali.
Best Swings for the “Long Dress’ Rental Service: Happy Swing Bali, Official Bali Swing (Bongkasa), various spots at Tegalalang Rice Terrace
Swing package Cost: INR 1,500-3,000 per person, with additional INR 1,000-1,500 for professional photography
2. Ubud Monkey Forest
Here you get to watch over 700 grey macaques as they swing around and eat bananas in their natural habitat. You can also explore ancient temples like Pura Dalem Agung surrounded by trees. This is a quiet, holy spot that slows you down from the usual pace of your trip.
Ubud Monkey Forest Entrance: INR 450-550 approximately per adult
3. Uluwatu Temple
Located 70 metres above water, this temple lets you explore the history of Bali with its artefacts, Balinese buildings, and 10th-century archaeological remains. For a unique experience, you can watch the Kecak Fire Dance during sunset on your trip to Bali from Mumbai.
Uluwatu Temple Entrance: INR 260-320 per adult. The Kecak Fire Dance adds an additional INR 475-700. Tickets are purchased with local currency at the gate.
4. Kuta Beach
If you are fond of surfing or maybe just like to enjoy local food culture, pay a visit to Kuta Beach. It's known for its surfing opportunities and also offers a glimpse into the daily lives of the local people going about their days in this fishing village. You will find an abundance of resorts, eateries, and bars in this region, making for a great nightlife and accommodation choice.
Kuta Beach Surfing: INR 1,200-2,500 per person for a 2-hour beginner lesson; the board rental alone costs around INR 550 per hour.
5. Tanah Lot
Bali is a destination rich with folklore and cultural stories that define its past. The Tanah Lot Temple statues take you back with their visual storytelling as you explore their various forms and figures. The temple is situated on rocks in the water and provides you with beautiful open-ocean visuals, especially during the sunsets.
Tanah Lot Temple Entrance: INR 300-400 per international traveller. A parking fee of INR 15-30 might apply.
1. Visit Tegallalang Rice Terraces: During your Bali trip from Mumbai, take in the cool air and enjoy the view of the green, terraced fields at Tegalalang Rice Terraces. Witness the traditional way of growing rice in Subak and swing high for stunning views from above.
2. Experience Wildlife at Bali Zoo: At Bali Zoo, you can walk around 12 hectares of beautiful tropical gardens that are home to more than 500 exotic animals. You can go through different areas and get close to deer, elephants, orangutans, and exotic bird species. Have fun splashing around in the water at the Jungle Splash area!
3. Go for a Splash at Waterbom: You can beat the heat of Bali at Waterbom, which is a 3.8-hectare water park with thrilling rides and dining options. With 17 waterslides, rafts, boogie boards, and a swim-up bar, it makes up for a fun day for the whole family.
4. Trek to Mount Batur: Embark on a thrilling two-hour trek to Mount Batur, walking on volcanic rocks. Begin at midnight with headlamps and experience the breathtaking sunrise, accompanied by the stunning view of Mount Agung.
5. Wander through the Bali Bird Park: Another remarkable activity to do on your Bali trip is exploring the Bali Bird Park, which gives you a chance to encounter more than 250 bird species in their natural habitat.
6. Witness the Tegenungan Waterfall: Experience the force of the 50-foot water drop at Tegenungan Waterfall as it hits the pool below. You can dive into its cool water and look around at the lush natural surroundings. Explore Monkey Forest, go to Butterfly Park, and watch the beautiful long-necked white herons fly over the fields of Petulu Village.
7. Explore the Bali Safari and Marine Park: At Bali Safari and Marine Park, you can get close to more than 400 critically threatened species, such as the orangutan and the Komodo dragon. Go on an exciting Night Safari and learn about the park's animals, like blue wildebeests and nilgai. At the end of the day, enjoy a tasty BBQ under the stars for an unforgettable experience.

Reviews from verified travellers who booked their trips with us
I usually don't write reviews but Bali with Thrillophilia deserves one. We didn't have the time or patience to plan every hotel, transfer and activity ourselves. Their team kept things simple and whenever our plans changed slightly the support was there without us having to chase anyone. We landed late night and I thought first day will be a mess, but pickup was already there. After that things just kept moving smoothly. Some areas were crowded but that’s Bali I guess.
Bali trip was more than we expected. We were a little nervous going to a new country for the first time but the team made everything very comfortable. Our local guide was exceptional. tegalalang rice terraces in the morning mist, the water temple at Tirta Empul, Nusa Penida for the cliffs and the manta rays. The villa in Seminyak had a private pool and was exactly as shown. No surprises at any point. Thrillophilia sorted everything from Mumbai end very professionally.
Bali package from India was seamlessly put together, flights, transfers, hotels, all handled without a single hiccup.
Ubud's rice terraces and the sacred monkey forest were magical in a very quiet, meditative way.
Kuta brought the energy with its beach clubs and sunset views that are genuinely hard to beat.
Overall a perfect mix of the spiritual and the fun side of Bali.
My Bali trip with Thrillophilia was honestly one of the best decisions we made as a couple. We were a little nervous going to a new country for the first time but the team made the entire journey very comfortable. The itinerary gave us enough time at each place without feeling rushed. Local guides were friendly and always on time. The Nusa Penida day trip and the Ubud local market experience were our favorites. If you want a hassle free international trip, this is the way to go.
First solo trip abroad and Bali was the perfect choice. Thrillophilia handled everything from Mumbai: visa, airport transfers, day tours. Did not have to figure out a single thing on the ground. Tanah Lot temple at sunset and the Kecak fire dance performance were unforgettable. Would highly recommend for first-time solo travellers.
