Bali Honeymoon Packages

Reviewed by Thrillophilia Bali Operations Team

Updated as of April 2026

Browse Thrillophilia’s Bali honeymoon packages for 2026, starting from INR 22,000 per person for land only and up to INR 120,000+ including flights depending on stay and experiences for a duration of 4 to 8 days. Most Bali honeymoons work best when the couple decides what kind of trip they want first. Our itineraries feature the right mix of coastal and inland stays, cliff-side romance, private villas, and beach-side resorts. Some of our packages focus on private villas and slower days in Ubud, while others also include a beach stay in Seminyak, Jimbaran or Nusa Dua.

Most people start in Ubud, as it is a quiet place for newlyweds to unwind, go for a spa, or maybe explore some local spots. After that, head ‌south to Seminyak or Kuta, where you can experience beachfront resorts, better nightlife, and a lively vibe. If you want something more private, then places like Nusa Dua or Uluwatu are better. With cliff-side resorts, quieter beaches, and luxury villa stays, you do not feel like stepping out much. We also recommend adding Nusa Penida to your itinerary to enjoy dramatic coastal views.

Our Bali honeymoon packages include accommodation, intercity transfers, select activities, and curated experiences. So, you can choose your route, pick your stay style, and enjoy each destination at the right pace with Thrillophilia.

Bali Honeymoon Trip Cost: Realistic Budget Breakdown

The total cost of a Bali honeymoon trip depends on three variables: where you fly from, how long you stay, and what tier of accommodation you choose.

Budget packages

  • Land-only cost: INR 22,000 – INR 35,000 (4–5 days basic hotels + shared sightseeing)
  • Round-trip flight cost: INR 25,000 – INR 40,000
  • Food and extras: INR 6,000 – INR 10,000
  • Estimated total per person: INR 55,000 – INR 85,000

Mid-range packages

  • Land-only cost: INR 35,000 – INR 70,000 (4-star stays + private transfers + curated tours)
  • Round-trip flight cost: INR 30,000 – INR 45,000
  • Food and extras: INR 10,000 – INR 18,000
  • Estimated total per person: INR 80,000 – INR 120,000

Luxury packages

  • Land-only cost: INR 70,000 – INR 150,000+ (private pool villas + premium experiences)
  • Round-trip flight cost: INR 35,000 – INR 60,000
  • Food and extras: INR 18,000 – INR 35,000
  • Estimated total per person: INR 130,000 – INR 220,000+

What is included in a Bali honeymoon package?

Core Package Inclusions:

  • Accommodations
  • Intercity transport
  • Selected experiences like Mount Batur sunrise or Kintamani tours
  • 24/7 on-ground support
  • Complete itinerary customisations
  • Daily breakfast

Optional Add-ons

  • Flights: International flights from India or flight transfers during the trip
  • Meals: Apart from breakfast, other meals are not included in the core package. Unless stated otherwise.
  • Visa Support: Bali visa guidance and assistance during documentation.

Who is this honeymoon package best for?

Our Bali honeymoon packages work well for different couples, depending on how you want to experience the trip.

  • If it is your first international honeymoon, you can combine Ubud with one beach area such as Seminyak, Jimbaran, or Nusa Dua. This gives a balanced mix of sightseeing and activities with little travel.
  • For couples wanting luxury, we recommend stays in private pool villas where you can spend quality time with each other.
  • If you prefer a relaxed honeymoon, limit the number of places and focus on leisure experiences like spa sessions and sunset-led evenings.
  • Couples who enjoy some level of activity on their honeymoon can include options like Mount Batur, waterfalls, rafting, or island day trips. But add only selective activities so the trip does not start feeling rushed.

Pro tip: If your priority is privacy and romance, avoid overloading day trips and multiple hotel stays. But, if you wish to explore different places, be flexible with road travel and island transfers that will shape the honeymoon pace.

Thrillophilia Traveller Note

Akshata Kulkarni, a traveller from Mumbai, booked Glimpse of Bali Free Excursion to Mount Batur with us and said, "The Bali trip was more than we expected. We were a little nervous going to a new country for the first time, but the team made everything very comfortable. Our local guide was exceptional. The Tegallalang Rice Terraces in the morning mist, the water temple at Tirta Empul, and Nusa Penida for the cliffs and the manta rays. The villa in Seminyak had a private pool and was exactly as shown. No surprises at any point. Thrillophilia sorted everything from Mumbai end very professionally.”

Best Time to Visit Bali for a Honeymoon

  • Peak Season (April to October) : This is the most reliable time to plan a Bali honeymoon, especially if you are visiting Bali for the first time. The weather is dry, the humidity is lower, and you can comfortably explore everything from Ubud to the beaches in the south. Visit in May, June, and September for fewer crowds and a smooth trip of sightseeing, water sports, or island hopping.
  • Shoulder Season (March and November): These months are perfect if you want to cut down your honeymoon expenses without giving up on the overall experience. Humidity is high with occasional rain showers, but you can still cover major attractions and activities. The shoulder season is a practical choice if you want value along with a fairly smooth itinerary.
  • Low season (December to February): Bali’s monsoon brings frequent rain which can interrupt outdoor plans. Beach time can be inconsistent, and activities like island trips may depend on the weather. However, you can still plan a honeymoon to Bali during this period if you wish to relax in resorts or private villas. With fewer tourists around, it also feels quieter and less rushed, making it suitable for couples who do not mind adjusting to unpredictable weather.

Bali Visa and Entry Rules for Indian Travellers

If you are travelling to Bali from India for your honeymoon, you can choose between a Visa on Arrival (VoA), an e-visa, or a longer-stay visa.

The Visa on Arrival (VoA) is the most common choice for honeymooners and lets you stay for up to 30 days. You can get one at the airport in Bali or apply in advance at the Indonesian Embassy. This could take up to 14 days and costs IDR 500,000. The e-visa also works similarly, but you can finish the process before you travel.

Longer-stay or multiple-entry visa options let you stay for up to 60 days. However, it involves separate approvals, documentation, and higher fees of IDR 3,000,000 for a one-year visa. For updated rules, fees, and eligibility, refer to the latest guidelines before travel from the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration.

How to Reach Bali

Popular Destinations to Visit on a Bali Honeymoon Trip

1. Ubud:

Ubud is where most honeymoons begin. It works best if you require a slower pace with private villas, spa sessions, and short outings to rice terraces or cafes. It is more about enjoying the stay and surroundings than doing everything.

2. Kuta:

Kuta is more about a lively atmosphere than privacy. If easy beach access, shopping, and nightlife are your requirements, Kuta is your go-to place. But it may not be ideal if you are looking for a quiet, relaxed honeymoon vibe.

3. Jimbaran:

Jimbaran is quieter and works well for beachside resort stays. With relaxed evenings and romantic candlelight dinners by the shore, Jimbaran is a good choice if you want a calmer alternative to busy areas.

4. Nusa Penida:

Known for dramatic coastal views, Nusa Penida is often added as a day trip. It is scenic, but getting there involves ferry travel and long drives; include it only if you are okay with a slightly hectic day.

5. Uluwatu:

Uluwatu is known for its cliffside resorts, ocean views, and quieter beaches. Couples often stay here for privacy and relaxed evenings, with sunsets near Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple or drinks at Single Fin. Nearby spots like Padang Padang Beach offer scenic, less crowded beach time.

Thrillophilia Traveller Note

Vinay Mehta, a traveller from Mumbai, booked the Bali Tour Package with Kuta and Ubud from India with us and said, "The Bali package from India was seamlessly put together; flights, transfers, and hotels were all handled without a single hiccup. Ubud's rice terraces and the sacred monkey forest were magical in a very quiet, meditative way. Kuta brought the energy with its beach clubs and sunset views that are genuinely hard to beat. Overall a perfect mix of the spiritual and the fun side of Bali.”

Best Places to Cover on a Bali Honeymoon

Here are some of the best places to visit in Bali on honeymoon:

1. Jatiluwih Rice Terraces:

If you want scenic views of 600 hectares of rice fields without crowds, Jatiluwih Rice Terraces is a great pick. It is quieter than the usual rice terraces and works well for couples who enjoy slow drives, nature, and open landscapes rather than busy photo spots.

2. Tirta Gangga:

Tirta Gangga works well for couples who enjoy calm and aesthetic spaces rather than rushing through a checklist. The water gardens, stone pathways, and surrounding greenery create a peaceful setting. You can just walk around slowly with your spouse, take photos, and spend quality time together.

3. Campuhan Ridge Walk:

The 9-kilometre Campuhan Ridge Walk is a simple and peaceful experience that fits perfectly into a relaxed honeymoon itinerary. It is best done early in the morning or around sunset for open hillside views.

4. Mount Batur:

Mount Batur is a great place for active couples who are okay with a very early start and a bit of effort. The sunrise views and Batur Caldera Lake create a romantic setting for couples to start their day. But it is more of an adventure experience than a relaxed honeymoon activity.

5. Goa Gajah:

Visit Goa Gajah, a cultural stop near Ubud, only if you love exploring historical places. Surrounded by greenery, the cave and temple complex offers a peaceful atmosphere that fits well into a slow honeymoon itinerary.

Top Experiences to Include in Bali Honeymoon Tours

Here are some of the best romantic things to do in Bali:

1. Enjoy Panoramic Views at Pura Luhur Uluwatu:

Walk along the cliffs, take in the ocean views, and stay for sunset at Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple. You can then continue to a nearby beachside dinner spot instead of rushing off. When you plan it this way, it feels like a proper clifftop evening and not just a temple visit.

2. Take up a Romantic Couples' Spa:

Pamper yourselves with Balinese massages and oil treatments at a spa and wellness session for a break in your itinerary. It helps you slow down and enjoy the honeymoon rather than constantly moving around.

3. Sway in Love at the Bali Swing:

Surrounded by rice terraces, greenery, and open valleys, the iconic Bali Swing is an exciting experience for couples. You do not need to plan your day around it; combine it with a café stop or a short walk nearby while you are in Ubud.

4. Romantic Horseback Riding in Tegalalang Paddy Terraces:

Ride through rice fields and quiet village paths, which feel calm and different from regular sightseeing. If you enjoy being outdoors, this is a lovely way to experience Ubud’s countryside. This simple experience fits in really well if you are already staying nearby.

5. Have a Cosy Dinner at the Finns Beach Club:

Visit Finns Beach Club a little before sunset, get a pleasant spot, and spend the evening there. Enjoy the sunset views and a seaside dinner experience rather than hopping between multiple attractions. This works best during your Seminyak or Kuta stay, where everything is easily accessible.

6. Revel in the Beauty of Tegenungan Waterfall:

Tegenungan is one of the easily accessible waterfalls near Ubud, so include it in your itinerary. You can witness the magnificence of the 25-metre waterfall, take pictures, or swim in the pool. This scenic outing fits in your itinerary just right without making the day feel rushed.

Thrillophilia Traveller Note

Smita, who booked the Bali Honeymoon Special | FREE Bali Swing Tickets with us and travelled from Pune, told us, “We were genuinely surprised by how much the Bali honeymoon experience delivered at this price point. The resort was beautiful, the couple's spa was genuinely luxurious, and the private sunrise Tegallalang rice terrace visit they arranged for us was unforgettable. A few small group aspects could have been more personalised for couples, but the overall value and experience were exceptional.”

Common Planning Mistakes Couples Make

  • Trying to cover too many places on a quick trip: Do not squeeze all the places like Ubud, Kuta, Seminyak, and even Nusa Penida into a 6-day trip. Though it sounds efficient, it involves constant packing and travel.
  • Choosing Kuta when you actually want peace: Kuta is busy, loud, and works only if you want vibrant nightlife. If your priority is privacy, visit places like Seminyak, Uluwatu, or Nusa Dua.
  • Assuming Nusa Penida is always a smooth honeymoon add-on: Though adding Nusa Penida to your itinerary is a good option, it involves early ferries and tight schedules. If your trip is short or you prefer comfort, this can feel more tiring than romantic.
  • Underestimating travel time within Bali: Traffic in Bali slows down road travel. A 20 to 30 km stretch can easily take 1.5 to 2 hours. Overplanning daily activities without considering‌ travel time leads to rushed days.
  • Booking based on price: Low-priced packages can sometimes mean average villa quality, less ideal locations, or limited inclusions.
  • Treating all beaches as the same: Not all Bali beaches are the same. Some are great for surfing, some for sunsets, and some for relaxing. Choosing the wrong area can affect your overall experience.

Stay Style, Food and Practical Tips for Couples

  • In Bali, where you stay has a bigger impact on your honeymoon than how many places you visit. Private pool villas in Ubud or Uluwatu are good for enjoying slow mornings and spending time indoors. In busy areas like Seminyak or Kuta, hotels or resorts are good choices for better accessibility.
  • For food, Bali is not as cheap as many expect, especially in honeymoon areas. Casual cafes may cost around INR 700 to INR 1,200 per person in mid-range cafes and tourist areas, while beachside dining is even higher. It is better to combine casual meals and a few special dinners instead of assuming everything will be budget-friendly.
  • Getting around Bali is easy, but traffic slows things down. It is a lot easier to book a private driver or use apps like Grab or Gojek for day trips.
  • While visiting temples, it is important to dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees.

Travel Updates and Safety Information for Bali Honeymoons

  • Recheck the latest entry requirements for Bali, including visa rules, passport validity, and any updated guidelines.
  • Road travel in Bali takes longer because of traffic, and ferry schedules can shift based on demand and weather. So, keep some buffer time instead of planning tight schedules.
  • Island trips and water activities depend on the weather. Rough sea conditions or rain can lead to delays or cancellations.
  • Use trusted transport, keep valuables secure, and be mindful in crowded areas.

2. Is Bali a suitable destination for a honeymoon?

Yes, Bali is a popular honeymoon destination because it offers variety, including private villas, beaches, cultural experiences, and affordable luxury. It suits couples looking for both relaxation and adventure without long travel distances between major destinations.

3. What is the best time to visit Bali?

The best time to visit Bali is between April and October, when the weather is ideal for outdoor exploration. To explore Bali on a budget without giving up on the overall experience, visit during March and November.

4. How many days are enough for a Bali honeymoon?

5 to 7 days are enough for a Bali honeymoon for most couples. A five-day itinerary covers Ubud and one beach area comfortably without rushing, allowing time for relaxation, sightseeing, and a few curated experiences.

5. Do I need a visa for Bali from India?

Yes, you need a visa to travel to Bali from India. Honeymoon couples can opt for the Visa on Arrival or e-visa options for short stays. Rules and visa processing fees change, so it is important to check the latest Indonesian immigration guidelines before travel.

6. Should we apply for a visa before travelling to Bali?

You can either get a Visa on Arrival (VoA) at the airport or apply for an e-visa beforehand to save time. We recommend getting an e-visa for a quicker and smoother arrival experience.

7. Should we include Nusa Penida in our honeymoon?

Nusa Penida is a scenic destination that involves early starts, ferry travel, and long drives. We really recommend including it if you are comfortable with a slightly hectic day. Otherwise, you can stay within Bali, which feels more relaxed.

8. What documents should I carry while visiting Bali on a honeymoon?

Carry a valid passport with a minimum 6-month validity, return flight tickets, a visa (VoA or e-visa), hotel confirmations, and travel insurance if available. It is also useful to carry some cash and keep digital copies of all documents for easy access.

9. What is the cost of a flight from India to Bali?

The flight cost from India to Bali starts from around INR 11,000 to INR 18,000 one-way (seasonal lowest fares). New Delhi offers direct flights, while cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore have only connecting flights. The common layover cities include Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangkok.

10. How expensive is Bali for a honeymoon?

Bali can suit different budgets and offers great value for honeymoon couples. A Bali honeymoon package costs INR 22,000 to INR 47,000 per person (excluding flights). However, the cost varies depending on the stay, activities, transport, and other expenses like food.

11. Which adventure activities can be enjoyed by couples in Bali?

12. What are the essential things to carry to Bali?

Carry light cotton clothes, swimwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable footwear, and a light jacket. Include a power adapter, basic medicines, toiletries, and modest outfits for temple visits.

13. Are private pool villas worth it in Bali?

Yes, private pool villas are recommended for honeymoons. They offer privacy and a more relaxed pace compared to hotel stays. Features like private pools, in-villa dining, and spa experiences make the stay feel more intimate and special.

14. What are the best areas to stay in Bali for couples?

Ubud is where you go for villas and greenery, while Seminyak, Uluwatu, or Nusa Dua are better for beaches and sunset evenings. Pick one inland stay and one beach stay for a balanced honeymoon without complicating your itinerary.

15. How early should we book a Bali honeymoon package?

Book Bali honeymoon packages 6 to 8 weeks in advance. This helps you choose better accommodation and flights before they sell out. For peak seasons, booking earlier helps secure better deals on preferred travel dates.

16. Which is better for a honeymoon, Bali or the Maldives?

If your honeymoon is between April and October, Bali is an ideal choice for a romantic and cultural trip. But if your honeymoon is planned between November and April, choose the Maldives for its clear skies and dry weather.

17. Can we get Indian food easily in Bali?

Yes, Indian food is widely available in areas like Seminyak, Kuta, and Nusa Dua. If you are craving familiar food, there are several Indian restaurants, including Queen’s Tandoor, Spice Mantra and Sukh Saga Veg Rasoi.

18. Are Bali honeymoon packages customisable?

Yes, Thrillophilia allows adding or removing activities in the itinerary based on your interests. We recommend including only a few experiences with room for relaxation instead of overloading the itinerary.

19. Can we use Indian currency in Bali?

No, you will need Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for most transactions. It is best to exchange some money or withdraw locally, though cards are accepted in many places. The value of 1 INR is equivalent to approx. 180 to 190 IDR.

20. Do ‌Indian SIM cards work in Bali?

Yes, you can use your Indian SIM in Bali through international roaming, but it is expensive for data. Most travellers keep it for OTPs and calls but buy a local SIM or eSIM for cheap and more reliable internet. Note that Jio does not work reliably in Bali.

So we can go and search the places and add it to the itineraries as per the interests.  Everything was nicely added from hotel, transport, tickets and foods. We had the best experience on our Bali trip because of the decision we took by planning our itinerary  with Thrillophilia. The team was so cooperative and cleared the doubts with much patience. From the point we arrived in Bali to the time we left, the guide helped us in all aspects like waiting for us without any trouble, planning the next day schedule beforehand and being on time everyday. Unfortunately we lost our bag in Nusa Penida island in which our passports are there and we were so tensed as we had flight the other day. The driver helped us in searching and with so much luck we are able to find it back because of the driver who helped... Read More

Bali honeymoon was honestly one of the few trips where everything went smoothly without us constantly following up for things. Airport pickup, villa check-in, activities — all properly managed. We could just enjoy our time together.

We booked the Bali trip for our 10th anniversary and it was perfect. The Thrillophilia team had arranged a surprise anniversary setup at the villa with flowers, a cake and candles by the pool. My husband was completely surprised, and after so many years together, we felt so much love and happiness coming back from this trip.

Girls trip to Bali, five of us from Nashik. The villa in Seminyak with a private pool was a dream. Thrillophilia had arranged spa treatments, cooking class, rice terrace walk and the Nusa Penida day trip. Every day had the right balance of activity and relaxation. Highly recommend Bali and highly recommend Thrillophilia for planning it.

Bali trip was more than we expected. We were a little nervous going to a new country for the first time but the team made everything very comfortable. Our local guide was exceptional. tegalalang rice terraces in the morning mist, the water temple at Tirta Empul, Nusa Penida for the cliffs and the manta rays. The villa in Seminyak had a private pool and was exactly as shown. No surprises at any point. Thrillophilia sorted everything from Mumbai end very professionally.

An Unforgettable Bali Trip with Thrillophilia Four sisters from Surat, we have been planning this trip for almost two years and Thrillophilia made it exactly what we hoped for. The itinerary was perfectly balanced between relaxing and exploring. Ubud rice terraces in the morning, spa in the afternoon, Seminyak beach at sunset. Our coordinator Priya was extremely helpful and responded to all our queries quickly. The local guide in Ubud took us to a small temple ceremony happening that day which was not part of the plan, that was the most special part of the whole trip. Hotels were lovely and transfers always on time. Cannot wait to plan the n... Read More
