Thailand Visa for Indians 2026: Simple E-Visa Process
Indian passport holders travelling to Thailand from Delhi are required to obtain a Thailand visa before departure. The application process is now largely digital through Thailand's e-Visa system, making it significantly more convenient than traditional embassy-based applications.
Thailand previously offered visa-free entry for Indian travellers. However, the Thai Cabinet approved revisions to this policy in May 2026, and India is out of the visa-free category. As a result, travellers should now plan for the applicable visa process before departure and always verify the latest entry requirements before travelling.
As per the latest Thailand visa for Indians 2026 guidelines, travellers can apply online, submit the required documents, and receive visa approval electronically before travel. Current visa fees generally start from approximately INR 3,000 for a Single-Entry Tourist Visa to INR 13,500 for a Multiple-Entry Visa, although fees may vary depending on visa type and processing requirements.
To simplify the process, Thrillophilia assists travellers by providing visa-support documentation, including confirmed hotel vouchers, flight itineraries, travel plans, and booking confirmations required during the application process. Our destination experts also share the latest documentation requirements and application guidance to help travellers avoid common errors.
While the visa process remains straightforward, travellers are advised to apply at least 2 to 4 weeks before departure, especially during peak holiday periods. This ensures sufficient processing time and helps avoid last-minute travel disruptions.
With streamlined e-visa procedures and expert assistance throughout the documentation process, a Delhi to Thailand tour package remains one of the easiest international holidays for Indian travellers planning their first overseas trip.
Flexible Options Designed Around Your Travel Style
Thrillophilia’s Thailand packages are designed to maintain a practical balance between comfort, convenience, and memorable travel experiences. Travellers can choose between multiple package structures depending on their budget, travel dates, preferred destinations, and trip style.
Whether the preference is to relax on the beaches of Phuket and Krabi, explore Bangkok’s nightlife and shopping districts, or combine cultural sightseeing with coastal experiences, the package options remain flexible enough to match different travel expectations.
This flexibility helps Delhi travellers because departure timings, trip duration, and seasonal preferences often differ across bookings.
Hotels That Are Verified in Advance (3-Star to 5-Star Reliability)
One major advantage of booking a Thailand trip from Delhi through Thrillophilia is that hotel selection is already done in advance, reducing uncertainty at the destination.
Hotels are generally chosen after evaluating:
Location and accessibility
Cleanliness standards
Service consistency
Verified guest reviews
Accommodation options generally include:
3-Star Hotels: Practical, affordable, and comfortable for shorter stays
5-Star Hotels: Premium stays with luxury services, beach access, and elevated hospitality standards
Daily breakfast and airport transfers are usually standard, while local support helps reduce on-ground uncertainty after arrival. This helps travellers settle quickly and avoid extra planning after arrival.

Best Places to Visit in Thailand from Delhi
Bangkok
Bangkok is one of the most frequently visited destinations in Thailand for travellers coming from Delhi because it combines culture, food, shopping, and city energy in one place. As Thailand’s capital and economic centre, Bangkok offers a fast-paced urban experience while still preserving strong historical character through its temples, palaces, and riverfront districts.
Across the city, travellers find Buddhist temples, traditional markets, shopping streets, and busy local neighbourhoods that remain active well into the night. The Grand Palace continues to be one of Bangkok’s most visited landmarks because of its architectural detail and historical importance, while Wat Arun presents one of the most recognisable riverfront views, especially during early morning light and sunset hours.
Bangkok’s night markets add another layer to the city’s appeal. Street food stalls, local vendors, and shopping areas remain active late into the evening, giving travellers access to both local flavours and city life after dark. Alongside this, large shopping centres such as Siam Paragon and MBK Centre continue to attract travellers who want branded shopping and indoor entertainment.
Expert Tip (Based on local crowd patterns): Bangkok temple complexes begin receiving peak visitor volume after 10 AM, so arrivals before 8:30 AM offer better movement and lower heat exposure.
Phuket
For travellers from Delhi looking for beach-focused holidays, Phuket is one of the most preferred destinations in Thailand. As the country’s largest island, Phuket offers a combination of beach leisure, nightlife, island access, and resort-based stays that appeal especially to couples and honeymoon travellers.
The island is known for its long stretches of white sand, turquoise waters, and coastal resort areas. Patong remains the most active zone for nightlife and entertainment, while quieter areas across the island offer a more relaxed environment for travellers who prefer slower travel.
Phuket also serves as a major departure point for nearby island excursions, especially to the Phi Phi Islands, which are among the most booked day trips in Thailand. Beyond beaches, landmarks such as the Big Buddha offer elevated viewpoints and quieter moments away from the more crowded coastal sections.
As evening arrives, the island becomes active with restaurants, local markets, beach clubs, and music venues, creating a completely different atmosphere compared with daytime beach travel.
Expert Tip: Travellers looking for quieter beach experiences should explore areas beyond Patong, especially during early mornings and late afternoons.
Krabi
Krabi is often chosen by travellers from Delhi who want a slower coastal experience compared with Phuket. Known for limestone cliffs, calm shorelines, and island landscapes, Krabi offers a more relaxed setting while still giving access to several major experiences.
Railay Beach, Ao Nang, and nearby islands such as Poda Island remain the most visited parts of Krabi. The destination is especially preferred by honeymoon couples because of its quieter atmosphere and scenic coastal geography.
Krabi also supports a wide variety of outdoor activities. Long-tail boat island transfers remain one of the most common experiences here, allowing travellers to access hidden beaches, lagoons, and snorkelling points. Railay’s limestone cliffs also make the region popular for rock climbing.
Compared with larger city destinations, Krabi is often chosen when travellers want less crowd density and more uninterrupted natural surroundings.
Pattaya
Pattaya remains one of the most accessible beach destinations in Thailand for travellers who combine Bangkok with a short coastal extension.
Located a short road transfer from Bangkok, Pattaya is especially known for beach activities, entertainment zones, nightlife, and quick island access. Coral Island remains the most commonly visited nearby attraction, where travellers participate in water sports such as parasailing, speedboat rides, and snorkelling.
Pattaya attracts families, friend groups, and younger travellers because it offers a high-energy environment that contrasts strongly with quieter beach destinations.
Evenings in Pattaya are particularly active, with beachside activity, music, and entertainment concentrated in central areas.
Expert Tip: Coral Island water activities are best experienced early in the day before peak crowd hours begin.
Top Things to Do in Thailand
1. Phi Phi Island Snorkelling (Phuket)
The waters around Phi Phi Island are among the most frequently chosen snorkelling locations for travellers visiting Phuket.
The clarity of the water allows strong underwater visibility, making it suitable even for travellers trying snorkelling for the first time. Guided excursions usually include selected coves where water visibility remains strongest.
Travellers often encounter small reef fish, coral formations, and calm swimming sections suitable for beginners.
2. James Bond Island Ferry Experience (Phuket)
James Bond Island remains one of the most recognised excursion points in Phang Nga Bay.
The island became internationally known after appearing in a James Bond film, but beyond its film identity, the limestone formations rising sharply from the sea make it visually distinctive.
Boat excursions through the bay remain popular because the surrounding waters are calm and visually dramatic.
3. Bangkok Floating Market
Floating markets remain one of Bangkok’s most recognisable local experiences.
Small boats sell fruits, snacks, cooked food, and local sweets directly on the water. Markets such as Damnoen Saduak continue to attract travellers because they combine local food culture with a distinctly Thai visual setting.
Popular foods include mango sticky rice, coconut pancakes, and grilled seafood.
4. Muay Thai Session (Bangkok)
Muay Thai classes in Bangkok offer travellers direct exposure to Thailand’s national sport.
Often called the "Art of Eight Limbs," Muay Thai uses punches, kicks, elbows, and knees. Beginner-friendly sessions are widely available and often chosen by travellers who want a physically active cultural experience.
5. Ethical Elephant Sanctuary (Chiang Mai)
Ethical elephant sanctuaries remain one of the most meaningful wildlife experiences in Thailand.
These sanctuaries focus on elephant welfare rather than performance-based tourism. Visitors are usually allowed to observe, feed, and interact responsibly under supervision.
Many travellers choose this experience because it combines wildlife learning with responsible tourism.
Food in Thailand
Thailand is perfect for Indian travellers because both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is widely available in tourist areas. Vegetarian travellers can easily find tofu pad Thai, vegetable fried rice, spring rolls, and curries made without meat, while many restaurants also prepare dishes without fish sauce if requested. Popular choices include Pad Thai, Green Curry, Tom Yum Soup, and Mango Sticky Rice, and fresh street food is available almost everywhere at affordable prices
Drinks in Thailand
Fresh coconut water is very common in beach areas, fruit smoothies are popular in local markets, and Thai iced tea is widely served in cafés and restaurants. In evening areas like Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya, cocktails and fresh tropical drinks are also easily available, giving travellers many options across different budgets.
Best Time to Visit Thailand from Delhi

During this period, the temperatures remain moderate, rainfall is lower, and outdoor movement becomes easier. This season also aligns well with family holiday periods in India.
November

This is also the season for Loy Krathong, one of Thailand’s most recognised cultural festivals.
December

This is one of the busiest booking periods, especially because of year-end travel demand.
Advance booking is strongly recommended.

Chinese New Year celebrations often influence travel demand during this period.
February
Temperatures remain between 23°C and 31°C, with dry weather continuing across most major tourist regions.
Makha Bucha festival also takes place during this month.
Why Choose Thrillophilia for Your Thailand Tour Packages from Delhi
At Thrillophilia, we take care of trip planning, operational logistics, and make sure that you have our support every step of the way. Our Thailand packages from Delhi work because we go beyond what you expect of us to give you a hassle-free tour experience.
Pre-Verified Ferry & Island Transfers: Our on-ground team in Thailand coordinates all speedboat and ferry schedules for Coral Island, Phi Phi Island, and Krabi's four-island tours before your departure. When you book a Delhi to Thailand tour package with us, ferry tickets, life jackets, and snorkelling gear are pre-arranged so you skip the chaotic ticket counters and unregulated operators at the pier.
Airfare Included with Upfront Pricing: Every Thailand package from Delhi with airfare on Thrillophilia reflects the exact round-trip flight cost from IGI Terminal 3. A standard 5-night, 6-day package with flights, 3-star hotels, breakfast, and Coral Island sightseeing starts at approximately INR 45,000 per person. We share the airfare component separately during booking, so you know exactly what you are paying for the flights versus the on-ground services.
Thailand Visa for Indians 2026: We confirm the latest Thailand visa for Indians 2026 guidelines during booking confirmation and share the specific documents you need to carry at immigration - passport validity, return ticket copy, and hotel confirmation. This helps you avoid confusion at the Bangkok arrival counter on the day of your landing.
Couples Itineraries with Timed Romantic Experiences: Our Thailand packages from Delhi for couples are not generic itineraries with a "romantic dinner" sticker added later. We pre-book private beach dining spots at Railay, coordinate sunset timing at Patong viewpoints, arrange couple spa sessions at verified resorts, and schedule Phi Phi Island excursions for quieter morning hours so you get actual privacy, not crowded ferries.
Family-Friendly Logistics That Work On Ground: When you book Thailand family packages from Delhi, we confirm adjoining rooms for multi-generational families, pre-arrange child meal preferences at hotel restaurants, and schedule activities with realistic pacing—no 5 AM pickups for young children. Safari World Bangkok, Coral Island water sports, and temple visits are grouped by proximity, so families aren't crisscrossing the city twice in one day.
Honest Guidance on Phuket vs Krabi: Choosing between Phuket and Krabi depends on what you actually want from your holiday. We share a straightforward Phuket vs Krabi which is better comparison based on real guest feedback—Phuket for nightlife, beach clubs, and island-hopping, Krabi for quieter evenings, limestone scenery, and relaxed couple stays. We do not push one destination over the other. We match you to what fits your travel style.
Ethical Elephant Sanctuary Chiang Mai: For our Chiang Mai tour packages from Delhi, we partner directly with certified ethical elephant sanctuary Thailand operators that prohibit riding, chains, and performance-based shows. Our team has visited every sanctuary in our network to verify animal welfare practices, feeding schedules, and bathing protocols. Your visit supports conservation, not entertainment.
Vegetarian Food in Thailand for Indians: Vegetarian food in Thailand for Indians requires more than hoping a restaurant understands "no fish sauce." We pre-arrange vegetarian meal options at every partner hotel in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi, and Chiang Mai. Our local guides are trained to communicate Jain, pure-vegetarian, and vegan dietary needs in Thai at local restaurants. No last-minute scrambling. No hidden shrimp paste.
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi vs Don Mueang: Not all flights from Delhi land at the same Bangkok airport. We explain the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi vs Don Mueang difference clearly during booking—Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is the main international hub where most full-service carriers arrive, while Don Mueang (DMK) serves budget airlines. We factor this into your transfer booking so your driver meets you at the correct terminal, every time.
Thailand in July from Delhi: If you are considering Thailand in July from Delhi, the monsoon season does not mean cancelling your trip. It means different planning. Bangkok stays relatively dry with covered shopping and temple itineraries. Coastal islands see afternoon showers, so we schedule water activities for mornings and indoor experiences for late afternoons. We also negotiate better hotel rates for July bookings and share honest rainfall expectations so you arrive prepared, not disappointed.
Clarity: Once you choose an itinerary, we confirm the experiences included, hotel category and board basis, flight details, and internal transfers right away. You pay only when these details are confirmed. After payment, we confirm the exact hotel names and share the latest on-ground situation, including ferry schedules and weather expectations, a week before you travel. This ensures clarity at every stage of the booking process.

We went for a girls' trip from South Delhi and wanted a bit of luxury. The team suggested some of the best beach resorts in Phuket that were right on the sand. It was a bit more than our initial budget but worth every penny for the service and views we got. The nightlife tour in Patong was safe and we had a great time without any worries.
Bhai, seriously, best decision tha. I usually do my own bookings on different apps, but Thrillophilia’s package turned out to be cheaper because of their bulk tie-ups. The private van in Krabi was a life-saver in the afternoon heat, it was clean, chilled, and the driver was very professional. No "Delhi-style" bargaining needed anywhere!
