The Jhoola Devi Temple of Ranikhet is an ancient relic built
in the 8th century, located at 7 km from the town. The superior deity of this
temple is Goddess Durga and is a believed at this temple, that Jhoola Devi has
the powers to fulfil the longings of all her devotees. The temple houses a
clumps of holy bells tied to its walls that are known for granting wishes on
being ringed. According to a mythology, this temple was built to seek Durga’s
protection for the wild animals in the place. The statue of Goddess Durga is
said to have been unearthed by a shepherd from a particular place after being
guided so by the goddess herself in his dream. This temple is made on the same
spot from where this idol was obtained.

The tour offers amazing places to see in a hill station of Ranikhet in a comfortable car drive. Not just the sightseeing tour was fun, the drive to and fro from Nainital to Ranikhet has amazing views to see throughout. We just loved the Chaubatia Orchard visit and had the best apples to taste there. The services of Thrillophilia are really amazing.
We had seen so many places in Ranikhet and enjoyed learning about it from the driver cum guide. It was a value for money booking for us from Thrillophilia and we quite enjoyed the sightseeing tour of Ranikhet.
The camping location was truly gorgeous by the hills and lush greenery, the accommodation was simply amazing it was clean and so spacious inside, the place has all the facilities, our host was friendly and courteous, the bonfire and mild music really go well under stargazing, the foods were organic and fresh. Firstly I want to Thank Thrillophilia and the team that they provided such an amazing deal online to managed the group stay very effectively. We were a group of 15 people, they have managed our stay very well, they served food on time and refill them fast. The staff helped us regarding each request and we enjoyed the games alot. Our cottages was very cozy and comfortable full of all the basic amenities required for a perfect stay. The staff was so polite and cooperative they have provided us their banquet on very short notice for our team activities. The ambiance was so beautiful, the rooms were nice, cozy and the entire property was well maintained with colonial style architecture all around. Great Hospitality, the food was very delicious. Do visit Goddess Kali temple it is the true beauty of Indian architecture. Also, we even enjoyed the visit to the Village.
