CALICO MUSEUM OF TEXTILES

Calico Museum of Textiles is one of the oldest textile museums in the country and one of the most interesting places to visit in Ahmedabad. The exhibits in this museum are phenomenal which includes a massive collection of all kinds of fabrics, artefacts, rare collections of antique fabrics, tie and dye,  pichwai paintings, traditional Indian miniature paintings, rare collections of bronze artefacts and lots more.

The Museum is divided into two sections - In the first section there is the  Haveli where the exhibits include religious textiles, miniature paintings, artefacts, etc. The second section is the Chauk which has a collection of costumes of the Mughal era, carpets, furnishings etc.
