The Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba is located in the Nenba district on the shores of Lake Saiko. With Mt Fuji as the backdrop, this village is known for the thatched roof houses, resembling a traditional Japanese village.

Visit Shosenkyo Gorge

This gorge takes pride in being one of the most beautiful ones of its kind and is a part of the Yamanashi prefecture. The gorge here is a part of the Chichibu Tama Kai National Park and covers places like Yamanshi and Saitama. The gorge is made up of granite and has a walking trail of 5 kilometres long from Nagahoribashi bridge to Sengataki waterfall. This place also has spiritual significance as a Buddhist monk Kakuen meditated here.

This waterfall is located at the base of the Kakuenpo rock formation at Shosenkyo gorge. This waterfall is 30 metres tall and was formed due to constant erosion. Visitors can trek to this waterfall and it will take up to 90 minutes to finish. This fall takes pride in flowing throughout the year and even in winter, it is flanked with icicles.

The Tahara falls is located on the Katsura river and is associated with Matsuo Basho- a haiku poet. History suggests that Matsuo Basho travelled to Yamura to visit Takayama Den’emon- his pupil.
