Little India in Penang is basically an ethnic Indian enclave. There is an old Hindu temple called the Sri Mahamariamman Temple. One can easily sense a resemblance after entering the market streets. Location: Little India is situated at the centre of Penang Heritage zone. It covers an area around three streets namely, Lebuh Queen, Lebuh Chulia and Jalan Pasar.
Highlights: During the festival times like Christmas, Deepavali and Thaipusam, this area gets more vibrant and lively. The tourists can hop on a trishaw from Georgetown to reach little India. One can also rent a scooter or motorbike to cover different sections of this area.
