Located on the foothills of Koh-e-Maraan hill, also known as Hari Parbat, Badamwari Park is a unique garden. It has blooming almond trees that are pink and white in colour, and these trees line either side of the central pathway, making it a must-include in your Kashmir tour packages. It is situated on the banks of Nigeen Lake in Sher-e-Khas and was named after an Afghan ruler named Warris Shah, which gives it an additional historic depth.
This location spans over 300 kanals and is 5400 feet above sea level. Badamwari is believed to have existed since the 14th century, and believe us, this hidden gem is no less than a piece of heaven. The air in Badamwari has a certain gentle sweetness and an aroma of fragrant blooming almond trees. Also, the tourism department hosts several cultural programs to celebrate the arrival of spring, which is surely an enriching experience.
