About National Emergency Services Museum

During your visit to the city, take some time out to explore the National Emergency Services Museum, which is known as one of the most significant tourist attractions in Sheffield. Ranked as the largest combined emergency services museum in the world, this museum is housed inside one of the first purpose-built combined Police, Fire and Ambulance stations in Yorkshire, and dates back to the year 1898.

There are more than 45 vintage vehicles here, consisting of fire engines, police cars, ambulances, a RNLI Boat, mines rescue vehicles and more. Additionally, you can also find the uniforms and equipment related to emergency services in this museum. During your tour of the museum, you can not only discover original police cells and police horse stables, and see how the equipment is used, but also get a chance to witness how the different services work together to help rescue the people.
