Jade Buddha Temple Overview
In order to find a house for the two jade Buddha statues bought by a monk named Huigen from Burma, a temple was built in 1882. After being destroyed during the revolution, the temple was rebuilt in 1928 and named the ‘Jade Buddha Temple’. The Buddha statues are made of white jade and besides being unique cultural relics, these are also beautiful porcelain artworks. Besides these two big statues, you can also see a small Buddha statue bought in 1989 from Singapore, Buddhist scriptures, and many other ancient paintings.
