“We were playing the Temple Run game in real life!”

These were Ravi’s first words on his Bali video review when he sat down with us to recount their 6 days’ experience in Bali.

For Ravi and Dhanlaxmi, Bali was the trip they’d talked about before their marriage. But as seven months went by, Ravi realised Bali cannot become one of those destinations that you’d talk about going to but never actually go to and decided to make that call to Thrillophilia.

Kapil, their destination expert, stayed with them from the planning process to the smooth execution of it. He took responsibility for framing the itinerary, connecting with local experts, and coordinating a strong on-ground team who could ensure the comfort of the travellers throughout the journey. 

After the pre-trip briefing highlighting all trip logistics to Ravi and Dhanlaxmi and exactly how the team was planning on executing them, they felt as if they could see the trip playing in front of their eyes.

What they felt as they landed in Ubud wasn’t the apprehension of being on foreign lands but the excitement of experiencing a new destination, with a team whose relentless efforts promised to support them throughout their journey.

A Peaceful Beginning in Ubud's Cultural Heart 

Ravi and Dhanlaxmi's trip began with a smooth arrival in Bali, where a private vehicle took them directly to their resort in Ubud, away from the bustle of the island's southern coast. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the resort offered exactly the peaceful setting they had hoped for after the wedding celebrations. Rather than filling the first day with activities, they settled into the slower rhythm of Ubud, enjoying the comfort of their stay and the tranquil surroundings that made it easy to relax and embrace the start of married life.

Their first full day introduced them to Bali's cultural heart. Travelling privately through central Bali, they explored the picturesque Tegenungan Waterfall before visiting the sacred Tirta Empul Temple, renowned for its centuries-old holy spring and purification rituals. The experience continued with the iconic Bali Jungle Swing, where sweeping views of forests and rice fields created some of the most memorable moments of the day. A professional one-hour photoshoot amidst Ubud's lush landscapes gave the couple beautiful keepsakes from their honeymoon, making the day a balanced mix of sightseeing, relaxation, and shared experiences.

Adventure in the Highlands, Evenings by the Beach

The third day brought a change of scenery as Ravi and Dhanlaxmi checked out of Ubud and set off for a day filled with adventure before moving to Kuta. 

Their private excursion began with a 90-min double-sharing ATV ride through Bali’s rugged trails, muddy tracks, and tropical countryside. Ravi felt this was something right out of the Temple Run game as he leaned into the contrast this day provided with the peaceful setting of the previous two days.

They also stopped at the iconic Handara Gate, one of Bali’s most photographed landmarks, before continuing to Kuta and checking into their hotel for the next phase of their trip. The shift from Ubud's serene landscapes to Kuta's lively beach atmosphere gave their honeymoon a refreshing change of pace, allowing them to experience two very different sides of Bali while enjoying the comfort of private transfers throughout the journey. 

Thrills on the Coast and Sunset at Uluwatu 

Their fourth day showcased Bali's adventurous side. Ravi and Dhanlaxmi headed to Tanjung Benoa Beach, where the calm turquoise waters became the setting for an action-packed morning. Sharing experiences like parasailing high above the coastline, speeding across the sea on a jet ski, and enjoying a fun banana boat ride added an exciting chapter to their honeymoon, striking the perfect balance between adventure and togetherness.

Walking around the centuries-old temple while watching the waves crash far below offered a striking contrast to the morning's adrenaline-filled activities. The combination of coastal adventure and breathtaking cliffside views made it one of the most memorable days of their honeymoon.

As their last full day came around, Ravi found himself getting emotional. He had been talking about Bali for so long now. The destinations, the experiences, and the scenic landscapes were all something he’d talked about multiple times before even coming on the trip. And now that he was actually in Bali and experiencing that firsthand, he realised how this in itself was a milestone for him.

And he was happy to have achieved it with Dhanlaxmi.

Island Escapes Beyond Bali's Shores 

One of the highlights of Ravi and Dhanlaxmi's honeymoon was their full-day excursion to Nusa Penida. After a scenic speedboat ride from Sanur, they set out to explore the island's dramatic western coastline, where towering limestone cliffs and crystal-clear waters create some of Indonesia's most iconic landscapes. Standing at the viewpoint overlooking Kelingking Beach, they finally saw the famous T-Rex-shaped cliff that had long been on their travel wishlist. 

The journey continued to Broken Beach, where a natural sea arch frames the ocean, and Angel's Billabong, a stunning rock pool carved by the sea over centuries. They also enjoyed a short complimentary snorkelling session, catching glimpses of the vibrant marine life beneath the clear waters before heading back. Combining spectacular coastal scenery, island-hopping, and a touch of adventure, the day perfectly captured the tropical charm that had drawn them to Bali for their honeymoon. 

The Trip’s Closure and Thrillophilia’s Contribution

Talking about Thrillophilia in his Bali video review, Ravi recounted, “I have to appreciate them because they made an itinerary, arrangements, and everything, and we really had a wonderful time altogether. Thank you very much, thank you.”

While Ravi was deservedly enjoying the trip the team had laid the foundation and logistics for, their job didn’t stop there. Throughout the 6 days, they coordinated relentlessly to ensure all trip details were executed with efficiency and practicality so that the couple could genuinely enjoy their trip without having to worry about any hassling detail.

And that was exactly what happened.
