Andaman Holiday Packages from Kolkata

Reviewed by Thrillophilia Andaman Operations Team

Updated as of June 2026

Andaman tour packages from Kolkata start from INR 18,400 per person for a trip of 5 days and 4 nights and goes upto INR 62,000 for an 11-day trip.

One of the main reasons travellers from Kolkata prefer to visit the Andaman Islands is that it's also a place where you relive history that you studied in the school days. Two famous freedom fighters from Bengal who were in Cellular Jail were Khudiram Bose and Subhas Chandra Bose. The Light and Sound show at night brings the stories to life, not just as memories. Cellular Jail in Port Blair is one of your must-visit places. Neil Island is a quieter escape, ideal for relaxing. Nearby islands like Ross Island and North Bay Island add variety with historic sites and coral experiences. Many travellers return from an Andaman trip that felt short, and each visit reveals new islands, activities, and slower, more immersive experiences.

From Netaji Subhash Chandra International Airport, Kolkata, it takes only 2 hours 20 minutes to reach Andaman. There are direct flights operating on this route and at a good frequency rate.

Thrillophila's packages include premium stays, expert advice, transfers, and 24/7 on-site local support. We offer a price range for Indian travellers, and we customise it to different budgets. Being honest about things is very helpful when planning a trip. We figure out the daily costs, transport costs, and extra activity costs so you know exactly how much money you have to spend on each part of the trip.

As of June 2026, Thrillophilia has conducted international and national trips for more than 10 years. Travellers with a consistent 4.8-star rating backed our words of smooth planning and execution. Every itinerary is designed with realistic travel pacing, practical city-to-city routing, and operational planning that helps avoid common on-ground travel issues.

Why Kolkata Travellers Choose Thrillophilia for Andaman

  • Kolkata travellers choose Thrillophilia for their Andaman trips because we handle all the planning, so you can focus on enjoying the experience. The 1,250+ km journey from Kolkata doesn't feel stressful but seamless.
  • We manage all your travel needs: inter-island ferry bookings, hotel check-ins, and transfers in private AC SUVs or sedans to verified accommodations.
  • Our packages range from budget-friendly to premium, and almost all include daily breakfast, private or government ferry tickets, and entry passes.
  • Water sports and activities are included in most of the packages; scuba diving, snorkeling, and sea walking at Havelock and North Bay Island are pre-arranged so there's no last-minute wait or delay.
  • Our dedicated 24/7 on-ground support team keeps you updated on real-time itinerary changes and ferry schedule updates throughout your trip.
  • All charges are clearly listed in the package, helping you plan and budget without any confusion.

Andaman Trip Cost from Kolkata & Realistic Budget Breakdown

Your Andaman trip cost depends on many factors; a few major factors are the attractions that you are covering, the activities like watersports done, and whether any offbeat locations are explored. A common mistake travellers make is booking late during the Durga Puja holiday, and they see a major surge in prices. Your stay is also a major factor, as if you stay near Havelock instead of Port Blair, you will reduce a good amount of cost there.

What Is Included in a Thrillophilia Japan Trip Package from India

  1. Airport transfers, pickup, and drop-off service from Veer Savarkar International Airport to the hotel.
  2. Accommodation in a 3- to 4-star handpicked hotel with daily breakfast from day 2 until the final morning.
  3. Shared sightseeing and Island tours
  4. Inter-island transfers, jetty pickup and drops.
  5. On-ground assistance, parking fees covered

What Makes Japan Package Prices Go Up or Down

  1. Season: Andaman’s monsoon and early autumn window, which is from June to September and April to May, travellers often notice a good discount. Often, they mention that hotels offer a 30 to 50% discount to fill their vacant rooms.
  2. Andaman’s monsoon and autumn season, which extends from June to September and April to May, offers the best discounts to travellers on hotels, flight tickets, and more. Travellers have also noticed that the season is best for sightseeing and all routes are open.
  3. Commute: Go for government ferries over private ones. You will get the same ride at around INR 400 to INR 900 if you can adjust to luxury amenities. Travellers notice that this becomes a major cost saver.
  4. Our on-ground experts recommend government ferries over private ones due to their lower pricing and better services. Each ticket ranges from INR 400-900. Travellers, in their post-trip feedback have highlighted that this becomes a major cost saver.
  5. Flight Booking: While planning for an Andaman trip, you need to book the flight ticket at least 2 to 5 months in advance. Opt for triple-share rooms, as this lowers the per-head cost.
  6. Beachfront/Main Town: A common mistake travellers make is choosing hotels with direct beach access in Havelock or Neil Island. If you move 1-2 km more near the harbor market, you get comparatively cheaper stay options. One more thing travellers notice is that island properties charge more due to supply chain costs for basic amenities.
  7. Weekend vs. Weekday Departure: Departing from Kolkata on a Friday or Saturday morning will cost you more than a Tuesday or mid-week departure. If you can shift your travel days just by 48 hours, you can actually save a lot more.
  8. Premium water sports: In all the packages, water sports are included, but if you want to go for any high-end water sports on a budget trip, your cost might rise significantly. Activities like night kayaking through bioluminescence will cost you extra INR 2,500 to INR 3,500.

Best Time to Visit Andaman from Kolkata: Month by Month

  • October to March: This is the most favorable season for an overall great experience, with pleasant weather and ideal conditions for sightseeing and activities.
  • December to January (Peak Season): The islands are at their best during this time, offering visitors perfect weather for all activities, along with a colourful and festive environment.
  • February to March: A perfect balance of comfortable weather and comparatively fewer crowds, making it suitable for a more relaxed experience.
  • April to May (Off-Season): Tourism is lower during these months, which means better deals and lower prices for travellers.
  • June (Transition Period): This month serves as a change between seasons, with changing weather conditions and fewer tourists.
  • July to September: It is generally not considered the best time for most travellers due to unpredictable weather conditions.

Thrillophilia Traveller Note:

Kunal Sen, who booked the 6 Days Andaman Tour Package with us and travelled from Kolkata, said, "Beautiful beaches, peaceful surroundings and scenic island views made the trip very memorable. Boat rides between islands were enjoyable and the overall experience felt relaxing and refreshing.”

How to Reach the Andaman Islands from Kolkata by Flight

For most travellers from Kolkata, flights are a better option than the sea route.

  • Route: Kolkata to Port Blair
  • Departure Airport: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport
  • Airlines: IndiGo, Air India Express, Akasa Air
  • Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes
  • Frequency: 2 to 4 direct flights daily
  • Fare Range: INR 5,500 to INR 12,000

Traveller Preference Insight:

Flights that are mostly taken are early morning departures (6 AM to 8 AM), as you reach your destination by 9 to 10 AM and can start your trip from Day 1 without wasting a day. Late afternoon flights often waste half the day.

Best Places to Visit in Your Andaman Trip from Kolkata

1. Port Blair: The Andaman trip begins with a mix of history, local life, culture, and coastal views. You can start with the Cellular Jail and experience the evening light and sound show. Go to Corbyn’s Cove Beach for a relaxed sunset and small, quick water activities on day 1.

2. Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep): If you have to pick just one island, Havelock Island is where travellers get the complete experience. This represents the real picture of the Andaman most people have in mind: clear water, white sand, and vibrant marine life. Radhanagar Beach is known for its clean shoreline and sunsets. Elephant Beach is where most travellers have their first snorkelling experiences. We recommend you stay on this island for a minimum of 2 to 3 nights for a better experience.

3. Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep): Shaheed Dweep Island feels different the moment you step there. There are smaller crowds, quieter roads, and a life there is a very slow pace. There is a natural bridge that you can best see and explore when the tide is low, due to which marine life becomes clearly visible. Most travellers end their day at Laxmanpur Beach, enjoying the wide views and sunsets. This island is best for you if you want to pause your trip, take it a little slow, and not rush to other spots. One night is enough to experience, relax, and again start your trip fresh with more energy.

Traveller pattern: Our travellers' observations across Andaman itineraries show that most travellers prefer visiting Neil Island after Havelock Island. The pattern allows them to complete water activities like scuba diving, snorkelling, and water sports in Havelock first and then go to Neil Island for a slower,

more relaxed experience.

4. Barren Island: A unique and rare experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. Barren Island isn't usually on the list of places to visit, which is what makes it special. A long boat ride where you can see India's only active volcano from a distance. We usually only suggest this activity to people who have some extra time and want to try something new. It's a day trip, but it's best to have some extra time so you don't have to rush.

Expert tip: This activity can be a great addition to your trip, especially if you plan it between October and March, when the seas are calmer, enhancing marine visibility and increasing the likelihood of a successful adventure

Top Things to Do on the Andaman trip

  • Dixon's Pinnacle at Havelock Island is one of the most rewarding dive sites in the Andamans, celebrated for its rich and colourful marine life. Fish are visible at every turn, and the site's combination of bright coral formations and diverse underwater species makes it equally suited to beginners and seasoned divers.
  • Go for a sea walk at Elephant Beach, the prime hub for coral reefs and shallow-water scuba diving. The activity costs around INR 3,500 to INR 5,500 per person. Try to book the early morning slot for the clear underwater view before the boat traffic starts.
  • Experience the historic walk through the Cellular Jail, locally known as Kala Pani. You will actually get goosebumps and feel how the freedom struggle had been. Stay or plan so that you can witness the light and sound show that is narrated as a Peepal tree that has witnessed it all says the story. The entry fee is INR 30 and INR 50 to INR 150 for the evening light show.
  • On a honeymoon trip or a solo escape trip, spend a evening watching the sunset at Radhanagar Beach. Travellers often mention that when the last rays of the sun falls on the turquoise water it looks magical. Note one thing swimming is restricted after sunset so plan your beach dip for late afternoon.
  • Keep a night for a special experience for a bioluminescence night kayaking tour. This is a premium experience where you can walk on the sands barefoot, and the microorganisms light up like a growing blue neon display.

Andaman and Nicobar Island is the home to thousands of tribes and maritime history. Andaman's calendar is never blank, always full of carnivals and traditional fairs. All these events bring life to the island and tourism to this island. Often we have noticed due to the events there is a difference in costs for flights and accommodation along with the crowd.

Food in Andaman & Vegetarian Guide for Indian Travellers

One thing travellers especially strict vegetarians or Jains, mentioned is it's a bit hard to find high-quality pure vegetarian and Jain food in Andaman. We won't disagree that Andaman is famous for seafood, but still the island has a massive population of Tamilians, Bengalis, and Punjabis. This results in and proves that you will get authentic, high-quality Indian vegetarian meals in the major tourist attractions. Thrillophilia knows the top places, and we recommend a few to you as well.

  1. Icy Spicy: Located at Junglighat, a central fishing hub of Port Blair. You will get good options for North Indian curries, Chinese dishes, eggless bakery, and chaat.
  2. Annapurna Cafeteria: Near Aberdeen Bazar, a famous place in the city center for South Indian thalis, dosas, and basic North Indian comfort meals.
  3. Green Heaven Pure Veg: Located in Govind Nagar just opposite the SeaShell resort, travelers often praise them for their freshly made and hot servers' non-greasy, home-style North Indian rotis and sabjis.
  4. Pure Veg Restaurant - Located near Hotel Samsaara, this is an owner-run restaurant that serves fresh, highly rated North Indian cuisine and is well known for its hygienic kitchen and clean dining environment.

Thrillophilia’s Insight: As Andaman is an island and is mostly famous for its seafood, we recommend pre-ordering Jain foods. During booking we would recommend mentioning your dietary requirements so that we can arrange it early. Carry ready-to-eat food for trips like Baratang, Rangat, or Digilur.

Andaman Essentials That Make Your Trip Smoother

  1. In the mobile network, BSNL works best everywhere. Airtel and Jio have limited coverage, and connection issues happen outside Port Blair.
  2. Carry cash in INR 5,000 to INR 10,000 in notes. ATMs are rare beyond Port Blair.
  3. Pack light clothes, swimwear, sunscreen, and a dry bag.
  4. Pack your own medicines. Medical facilities are limited outside Port Blair.
  5. Bengali is widely spoken, so there will be no language barrier.

Traveller Insight: A common traveller observation across Andaman trips is that two things often surprise them: limited network connectivity and the need for proper cash planning. Mobile signals can be unstable, especially on islands far from Port Blair, and ATMs may not always be easily accessible. Planning for these in advance, like keeping your bookings in print and carrying enough cash, makes a major difference.

We picked Andaman for our honeymoon mainly because we didn’t want a crowded place. What we liked was that we didn’t have to manage anything on the ground. Cellular Jail sound and light show was something I was not prepared for emotionally. The names being read out, the lights on the wing corridors, people around me quietly crying. The rest of the trip Havelock, Neil Island, the underwater world was beautiful. But that one hour at Cellular Jail was different. Andaman is a must visit and learn that the freedom we got was not easy.
