How To Reach Andaman - By Air
If you’re travelling to Andaman by air, the nearest airport is Port Blair’s Veer Savarkar International Airport. Port Blair is the capital of Andaman and Nicobar islands and is connected to Kolkata and Chennai by air. Which means, if you’re flying from Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi or any other city, you must first reach either Kolkata or Chennai, from where another flight will take you to Andaman where you will find plenty of amazing hotels for you in Andaman.
Currently, only five airlines fly regularly to Andaman - Jet Airways, Indian Airlines, Jetlite, Spicejet and GoAir. From the Port Blair airport, there are regular and frequent ships available to take you to Andaman at regular fares. Andaman can also be reached by ship, but it may be a bit time-consuming. If time is a constraint for you, your best bet is to fly there. From the airport, however, you have to take a ship to reach Andaman anyway. After reaching there are a number of things to do in Andaman for everyone.

How To Reach Andaman - By Ship
There are nearly four to five ships that ply every month from Chennai, Kolkata and Vizag. But bear in mind that the journey is 50 to 60 hours long. Although the voyage is quite time consuming, it gives you more time to take in the expansive beauty that surrounds you. If you’re travelling from Chennai, there are two ships - MV Nancowry and MV Swarajdeep.
