A Sri Lanka package for 5 days starts from INR 21,000 and goes up to INR 49,000 per adult for a 5 days and 4 nights itinerary, depending on the destinations, hotel category, and inclusions.
A five-day itinerary works best with two or three hotel bases. Kandy, Bentota, and Colombo form one of the most convenient routes for first-time visitors. You can also replace Bentota with Nuwara Eliya for tea estates and cooler weather or take a day trip to Galle from Bentota without changing hotels.
Thrillophilia's Sri Lanka 5 days tour package includes comfortable stays, daily breakfast with vegetarian options, airport transfers, intercity transport, and the sightseeing experiences mentioned in the itinerary. The packages cover everything from budget-friendly coastal holidays and family vacations to scenic hill-country escapes and couple-focused getaways.
With thoughtfully planned routes, reliable transfers, and a 4.6-star traveller rating, a 5 day trip to Sri Lanka offers enough time to experience the country's cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, and coastal charm without feeling rushed, making it an ideal choice for a short international holiday from India.

Direct Bengaluru to Colombo flights take around 1 hour 25 minutes. SriLankan Airlines and IndiGo operate nonstop services, making a 5 days Sri Lanka package a convenient international getaway for travellers from South India.
Return economy airfares from Bengaluru generally range between INR 18,000 and INR 30,000, depending on the airline, travel season, baggage selection, and booking window.
Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) is located in Katunayake, around 30 kilometres north of Colombo. Kandy is approximately 3 to 3.5 hours away by road, so travellers arriving on late-night flights often find it more convenient to spend the first night in Colombo or Negombo before continuing inland.

Apply online before departure. Carry a passport valid for at least six months, confirmed accommodation and a return or onward ticket. An approved tourist ETA generally allows double entry during the 30-day validity period.

Below are the best places to visit in Sri Lanka:
One of Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist sites, the Temple of the Tooth houses the revered relic believed to be the tooth of Lord Buddha. The temple complex features traditional Kandyan architecture, intricate carvings, peaceful courtyards, and daily religious ceremonies that offer visitors a glimpse into the country's rich spiritual heritage. Dress modestly by covering your shoulders and knees while visiting.
Located just outside Kandy, these botanical gardens are known for their palm avenues, orchid collections, giant bamboo groves, and centuries-old tropical trees. A Sri Lanka package for 5 days commonly includes Peradeniya as a sightseeing stop before continuing towards Bentota or Nuwara Eliya, giving travellers two to three hours to explore one of Asia's finest botanical gardens at a relaxed pace.
Often called "Little England," Nuwara Eliya is famous for its rolling tea plantations, cool climate, colonial architecture, and scenic waterfalls. Tea factory visits, Ramboda Falls, Gregory Lake, and panoramic viewpoints can all be combined along the drive from Kandy. Since fog and rain are common in the hills, it is best not to combine this route with a long transfer to Colombo on the same day.
Bentota is one of Sri Lanka's most popular beach destinations, offering a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Spend time on its golden beaches, enjoy water sports depending on sea conditions, or take a boat safari through the Madu Ganga mangrove forests. Bentota also serves as a convenient base for visiting Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery and taking a day trip to Galle.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Galle Fort brings together centuries of colonial history and charming cafés, boutique shops, museums, and oceanfront walkways. Located around 45 to 60 minutes from Bentota, it is perfect for a leisurely half-day excursion where you can explore cobbled streets, historic churches, old ramparts, and stunning views of the Indian Ocean.
Sri Lanka's capital combines colonial landmarks, Buddhist temples, bustling local markets, and modern shopping districts. A 5 days tour package Sri Lanka typically keeps Colombo for the final night, allowing travellers to comfortably explore attractions such as Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, Pettah Market, and Galle Face Green before heading to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
The best things to do in Sri Lanka are the following:
1. Ride the Scenic Kandy to Nuwara Eliya Route
Travel through Sri Lanka's lush hill country, passing tea plantations, mist-covered mountains, waterfalls, and colonial-era towns. A well-planned Sri Lanka package for 5 days often includes scenic drive of Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, allowing travellers to experience tea factories, panoramic viewpoints, and attractions like Ramboda Falls while exploring the island's famous tea-growing region.
2. Relax on the Beaches of Bentota
Spend time on Bentota's golden beaches, where you can swim, enjoy river cruises, or simply unwind by the Indian Ocean. Depending on the season, you can also try water sports such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, or kayaking on the Bentota River.
3. Cruise Through the Madu Ganga Mangrove Forest
A Sri Lanka 5 days tour package often includes a boat safari along the Madu Ganga River, where travellers can explore mangrove tunnels, small islands, cinnamon plantations, and rich birdlife. The cruise offers a peaceful contrast to Sri Lanka's beaches while introducing visitors to one of the country's most unique wetland ecosystems.
4. Experience Sri Lanka's Tea Culture
A Sri Lanka package for 5 days often includes scenic tea-estate visits in Nuwara Eliya or Hatton, where travellers can witness the complete journey of world-famous Ceylon Tea from freshly plucked leaves to the final brewed cup. Most factory tours also include guided tea tastings while overlooking the surrounding plantations, offering insight into one of Sri Lanka's most iconic industries.
5. Explore Colombo's Markets and Waterfront
Wrap up your trip by exploring Colombo's lively streets, visiting attractions like Gangaramaya Temple, Pettah Market, Independence Square, and Galle Face Green. It's an excellent way to experience Sri Lanka's modern capital while shopping for spices, handicrafts, tea, and local souvenirs before flying home.

Vegetarian food is easiest to manage in Colombo, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. Rice and curry, dhal, string hoppers, vegetable kottu and coconut sambol are commonly available.
Thrillophilia's Sri Lanka packages include daily breakfast, and several itineraries also cover additional meals as mentioned in the package inclusions. Our team also assists travellers with pre-trip meal guidance and can help communicate dietary preferences in advance wherever possible for a smoother travel experience.
Ask whether curry, sambol or gravy contains Maldive fish. It is sometimes added even when the dish appears vegetarian. Jain meals need to be requested before travel, especially at Bentota resorts and smaller hill-country hotels.
Thrillophilia plans the route for the Sri Lanka package for 5 days around actual road times between Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Bentota and Colombo. This avoids placing two long hill or coastal transfers on the same day.
Airport pickup, hotel changes and listed sightseeing are confirmed before departure. Galle is used as a day trip from Bentota, while Colombo is normally kept for the final night to reduce airport-transfer risk.
You can also replace the coast with Nuwara Eliya or choose a Colombo and Bentota route in a Sri Lanka 5 days tour package when you prefer fewer hotel changes and a more relaxed travel pace.
This thoughtful planning is something travellers frequently appreciate during their journey. Balaji Krishnamurthy from Chennai, who booked the Sri Lanka Retreat with Excursion to Galle, shared, "The itinerary plan was excellent, customised as per what we needed… the stays, especially the Ella property overlooking the tea estates, were very nice. The train from Ella to Kandy through the mist is something I keep recommending to everyone who asks.”
