My friend and I were very bored in life and looking for some adventure. Then she came across this Markha Valley Trek on this website and since both were reasonably fit, we thought we should do it. The entire trek from reaching Gandala La and Kongmaru La pass to interacting with the Markha village people and witnessing beauty we never though existed was an eye-opening experience.

If I have to describe this trek in one word, I will say 'wow'. Really, one of its own kind, we started from Leh and also got enough time to explore Leh. Zingchen, Rumbak Village, the monasteries, GandaLa, Shingo Village, Markha Valley, etc. were the best parts of this awesome trek.

As all the members of our trekking group were from the southern tip of India, we all were excited to conquer the northern tip of India. And after we started with the course of ttrekking we really came to know why people says that opposite poles always attracts. The Markha Valley has a unique factor to make the trekkers come again and again.

Though I completed this trek around 10 months back, its memories that reflects in my mind are still fresh and the same. Being a trekker, the moment I got to witness the Himalayas along with other peaks like Zanskar and Ladakh ranges, all my dreams came true. Nice and extremely adventurous trek. Note: it can be best enjoyed if you have prior experience in the Himalayas or trekking.

Markha Valley is an astonishing place. Till now whenever I hear "I see fire' by Ed Sheeran I am totally transformed to this place. Really beautiful place, no pollution, no crowd, no matter which season you chose to travel this experience will be an exclusive one. Amazing experience guys!
