Ladakh Holiday Packages from Delhi

Verified by Thrillophilia’s Ladakh Operation Team

Updated in June 2026

Book your Ladakh tour package from Delhi for 5 to 12 days, ranging between INR 21,620 and INR 49,990, to experience the only high-altitude cold desert of India away from the subcontinent.

Delhi to Ladakh tour packages provide the quickest and most seamless accessibility in India. A direct flight to Leh takes around 75 minutes, but it also moves you from an elevation of about 215 metres to 3,514 metres almost instantly. That shift is not just a travel insight but a very important factor defining your entire trip experience. Thrillophilia provides airport and sightseeing transportation, maintaining the pace and altitudinal shifts for their passengers for a smooth and safe journey. We also provide Delhi-to-Ladakh by-flight packages, which include not only transportation but also flights, providing you with a seamless and hassle-free trip from Delhi to Ladakh.

Most Ladakh tour packages from Delhi go wrong at this exact point. Travellers optimise for speed. As soon as they land in Leh, they start moving immediately. However, the human body is unable to adjust and adapt to the elevation shift that quickly, and such careless trips are known to end up pretty bad. With Thrillophilia, you can have your ideal itinerary, including guidance from Thrillophilia destination experts, while planning your Delhi to Ladakh tour packages.

Note that the first two days, after landing in Leh, are not at all spare fun time. Instead, they are just another part of the itinerary. If you ignore them, the rest of the trip could be a nightmare. At the same time, flying is not the only way to reach Ladakh. You can also go for a Delhi to Leh-Manali road trip through the Manali-Leh Highway or the Srinagar-Leh route for more natural acclimatisation and less toll on your body. Each option works differently. The right choice depends on how much time you have and how you want to experience the journey. Keeping all these factors in mind, Thrillophilia, from planning guidance to 24/7 on-ground support, provides you with on-spot solutions at every stage of your journey.

A Ladakh tour package from Delhi primarily works when it is executed around three things: how you enter, how you adapt, and how you move further. Everything else is secondary. With a 4.7 rating and 1,948 reviews, Thrillophilia builds your trip package based on trustworthy data and a clear trip route, providing you with a transparent experience without overpromising.

Ladakh Tour Package from Delhi - Breakdown

The Ladakh package cost from Delhi depends on how you travel and what you include. The experience depends more on how the itinerary is structured than on the total budget.

A standard itinerary covering Leh, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake usually runs for 5 to 12 days. Road-based trips extend this due to travel time. Costs vary based on whether you are booking a Delhi to Leh flight package, hotel category, and transport type. Flights are typically separate and fluctuate depending on demand.

  • Price (overall): INR 21,620 to INR 49,990 per person, based on the season, flight fares, and selected itinerary.
  • Duration: 5 to 12 days
  • Inclusions: Accommodation, a structured itinerary, airfare and transportation, a good breakfast, 24/7 on-the-ground assistance, airport transfers, selected activities and destinations based on the selected package.
  • Thrillophilia Note: Travellers planning for a Ladakh tour package during the peak travel windows like December and January must consider that both airfares and hotel rates climb steeply. Booking your Ladhak tour package from Delhi at least 3 months in advance is strongly recommended for better availability and pricing.

How to reach Ladakh from Delhi

Flying from Delhi to Leh is the quickest high-altitude transition in the country. Thrillophilia includes some of the Delhi to Leh by flight packages. Though flights may save time, they also put immediate pressure on your body, along with risks, if not handled cautiously. The oxygen level drops significantly with the elevation, and hence, your system needs time to stabilise with the environment.

Three Ways to Reach Ladakh from Delhi - Mode Selection Guide

Delhi offers three practical routes to Ladakh, and each serves a different purpose.

  • Delhi to Leh Flight: While planning for a Ladakh tour package from Delhi, flying is the most efficient option. It works best for families, couples, and travellers with limited time. You reach Leh quickly and begin your trip after acclimatisation. The condition is that you follow the first two days strictly. If you’re travelling in 2026, then major airlines operating include IndiGo, Air India (including former Vistara routes), and SpiceJet. Delhi to Leh takes about 1 hour 25 to 1 hour 35 minutes with a price ranging from INR 5,500 to INR 12,000 (depending on the season).
  • Road Trip via NH 3: The Manali-Leh Highway is a road-based approach that allows gradual altitude gain. This reduces the shock to the body and suits travellers who want the journey to be part of the experience. It involves long travel hours and remote stretches, which require preparation. Remains open mid-June to mid-October, known for high-altitude passes like Rohtang La, Baralacha La, and Tanglang La. Through this, it takes nearly 18 to 20 hours to travel, and you can split it over 2 days. Kunal Singh, onr of our verified travellers who booked the Best of Ladakh | From Mountain Passes to Ancient Monasteries package, shared in May 2025 that, “Booked a private car trip of Ladakh including Hanle and had an amazing experience! The Thrillophilia team was very helpful, the itinerary was well planned, and the vehicle and driver were very nice. The stays in every town were good; homemade breakfast and dinner were included everywhere. Thank you Thrillophilia team for the amazing experience! Looking forward to my next trip with you.”
  • Road Trip via NH 1: The Srinagar-Leh route offers a more gradual climb compared to Manali and relatively stable road conditions. It is often chosen by travellers who want a smoother road journey or plan to combine Kashmir with Ladakh. It remains open from May to November. Here, you will find a comparatively gradual ascent via Sonmarg, Zoji La, Kargil, and Lamayuru.

Faisal Mir, one of our verified travellers, who booked the Manali-Leh-Srinagar Bike Adventure package, shared in April 2026 that, “Overland from Kashmir to Ladakh is one of the greatest road journeys you can do in India. From Dal Lake in Srinagar to Pangong Tso in Ladakh, the transformation across just a few days is staggering. Sonamarg, Zoji La Pass and the Drass Valley were all breathtaking in completely different ways. Our driver was experienced and calm on the mountain roads, which made a huge difference to the experience. Do this trip at least once – no photograph or description will fully prepare you for what you'll see.”

  • By Train: If you are travelling by train, the nearest railway station to Ladakh is Jammu Tawi, located around 667 km away. It is well-connected to major cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, and Chandigarh. From Jammu, you will need to continue by road, with the journey to Leh via Srinagar taking approximately 14 to 16 hours. Alternatively, you can also travel through Pathankot or Chandigarh and then take a taxi or bus for the onward journey.

A combined approach works well for many travellers. Fly into Leh, complete your circuit, and return by road, or vice versa, for easier acclimatisation. This avoids repeating the same old route and balances time with new experiences that you can capture and share with your loved ones.

Thrillophilia Note: The first 48 hours in Leh are not flexible. Here is what you have to take care of in Ladakh after landing for at least the next 48 to 72 hours, after a quick 75-minute flight from Delhi.

  • Day one is for rest with no long drives, no sightseeing, and no physical exertion.
  • Day two allows limited movement, but it's still within control.
  • Day three could be your beginning if you have successfully adapted to the change.

Many travellers feel perfectly fine after landing and assume they can move freely. However, the problem is that altitude impact often shows up later. What feels manageable on arrival can turn into fatigue or discomfort later.

Documents and Permits needed for your Ladakh trip from Delhi

While planning for a Ladha tour package from Delhi, permits are a practical part of travelling in Ladakh and need to be planned correctly. Here is a complete guide:

Ladakh ILP Permit Architecture

Leh itself does not require a permit, which is why the first two days are usually spent there. However, the Inner Line Permits (ILPs) are required for regions such as Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri, Dah-Hanu, and certain restricted areas. These are issued in Leh and can be obtained online or through local offices.

Arrange these permits by applying online through the official LAHDC Leh Permit Portal or offline from the Permit Office / TIC or the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office near the Polo Ground in Leh, in advance, to avoid losing time post-arrival. This directly affects your itinerary and trip experience, especially if your trip duration is limited. With Thrillophilia’s Delhi to Ladakh tour packages, you need not worry about these passes if you get them all arranged with us.

Road and permit updates (April 2026)

  • Road access on the Manali-Leh and Srinagar-Leh routes depends on weather and maintenance conditions.
  • Permit processing timelines may vary during peak travel periods.
  • Flight schedules may change due to weather conditions in the region.

Practical Logistics for Delhi travellers

Note the following for your Delhi to Ladha tour package.

  • Mobile connectivity is limited outside Leh. Networks may work in town but may drop in remote areas.
  • ATMs are available mainly in Leh, so carrying cash is necessary for travel beyond it.
  • Fuel stations are limited. Long routes require planning refuelling stops.
  • Weather conditions can affect travel timing. Keeping buffer time helps maintain flexibility.

Best time to visit Ladakh from Delhi

Choosing the right time to visit Ladakh can significantly impact both cost and overall experience. Prices, road access, and crowd levels vary sharply across seasons, so timing your trip well can stretch your budget further.

1. Early Season (April to June)

  • Cost: 15 to 20% lower than peak season accommodation rates
  • Roads: NH-3 has just opened; conditions can be variable
  • Verdict: Good entry window with lower costs, open access, and shorter ILP queues

2. Peak Season (June to September)

  • Cost: The highest pricing across hotels and transport
  • Roads: Full accessibility across all major routes
  • Verdict: Best for smooth logistics, but worst value for a budget trip

3. Best Shoulder Season (September to November)

  • Cost: 25 to 35% lower than peak season
  • Roads: Fully open with significantly less traffic
  • Verdict: Best overall balance of cost, weather, and crowd levels

4. Late Season (November to January)

  • Cost: 30 to 40% lower than peak season
  • Roads: NH-3 starts closing due to the weather
  • Verdict: Strong value, but limited by shrinking road access

Places to add to your Ladakh tour package from Delhi

While planning for your Ladakh tour package from Delhi, there are places to visit in Ladhak you can’t miss. Our travellers highly prefer our routes and destinations picked by our destination experts, as they cover most of Ladakh's top places all under budget. Rohit Singh, one of our verified travellers from Delhi who booked the Leh Ladakh Group Tour | FREE Camp Stay package, shared in April 2026 that "Leh-Ladakh delivered everything I had been dreaming about – Pangong Lake, Khardung La, and Nubra Valley. The roads are tough, but every single kilometre is worth it for views that simply don't exist anywhere else. Our driver Stanzin was experienced, calm and an absolute asset on the high-altitude stretches.”

  • Pangong Tso: Pangong Lake sits at around 4,350 metres and is known for its colour variation depending on the light. The experience of Pangong Tso changes significantly between a short visit and an overnight stay for this 134 km transboundary lake.
  • Tso Moriri: Tso Moriri is less crowded and more remote, perfect for peace lovers. This place, also popularly known as the Highest Accessible Wetland of India at an elevation of 4,522 m, requires additional permits and planning but offers a quieter environment.
  • Nubra Valley: Known as the orchard of Ladakh, Nubra Valley offers a different landscape and lies at a lower altitude than Leh (around 10,000 ft). It is accessed via the Khardung La Pass and is usually more comfortable after acclimatisation. Explore its key attractions such as Diskit Monastery, Hunder dunes and double-humped Bactrian camels.
  • Zanskar Valley: Zanskar Valley is not part of most standard itineraries due to its limited access and hence is ideal for spiritual exploration and alone time. It becomes relevant in winter for specific experiences such as the Chadar Trek.
  • Magnetic Hill’s Illusion: Magnetic Hill is often misunderstood for its key optical illusion, showing anti-gravity characteristics, created due to specific terrain alignment rather than any anti-gravitational or magnetic force.

Top Things to Do in Ladakh

If you’re in Ladakh, here are some top things to do in Ladhak that you can’t miss out on.

  • Go on the Chadar trek: The Chadar trek takes place between January and February over the frozen Zanskar River. It lasts around 8-9 days and is a moderate-to-difficult trek, so it usually suits physically fit travellers.
  • Indulge in a motorbiking adventure: Motorbiking routes like Manali-Leh (2–3 days) and Srinagar-Leh (2 days) are popular among travellers.
  • Enjoy Rafting in the Indus River: Rafting takes place on the Indus and Zanskar rivers, with rapids ranging from grades I to III. If you are planning to include rafting in your trip, June to September is considered the most suitable time.
  • Go on a camel safari in Nubra Valley: Camel rides in Hunder last about 15-30 minutes and cost around INR 200-INR 500. Regardless of the age group, you can enjoy this activity.
  • Camp Near Pangong or Tso Moriri: A highly underrated but must-have experience would be overnight camping near Pangong or Tso Moriri. You can find stays ranging from INR 1,500 to INR 5,000, including meals. Nights can get very cold, even in summer, so pack accordingly.

Sample Ladakh Tour Itineraries from Delhi: Most Booked by Our Travellers

These three itineraries reflect what travellers from Delhi most consistently choose while exploring Ladakh. Each itinerary is designed around realistic mountain routes, acclimatisation time, high-altitude sightseeing, and a comfortable pace covering monasteries, valleys, lakes, and Himalayan landscapes. These routes follow the most preferred Ladakh circuits covering Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Khardung La, and other major attractions.

Out of all the three itineraries, our travellers mostly go for the 8-day, 7-night Ladhak itinerary for a balanced Ladha tour package from Delhi. Ginu, one of our verified travellers from Mumbai who booked the Best of Ladakh | From Mountain Passes to Ancient Monasteries package, reviewed in March 2025 that, “We planned a trip to Ladakh for 8 days, and it was well planned by the Thrillophilia team. I got complete support and detailed information before and after booking the trip. Ladakh is an extremely beautiful place where we could experience the pure beauty of nature. The people are so friendly and loving. Driver Gurmet was extremely helpful and cordial during the trip. Visiting Pangong Lake and staying beside the lake were an amazing surreal experience. We got to watch Starry Night in Hanle as well. The weather was also quite good during this time. The landscape of Ladakh is very different from any other place we have been to. All in all a wonderful experience and everyone should visit Ladakh at least once in their life. It's a beautiful experience.”

Mistakes travellers do while planning for their Ladakh tour package form Delhi

1. Last-minute flights: Booking late to Leh can cost INR 4,000 to INR 8,000 extra; book 6 to 8 weeks in advance.

2. Skipping ILP pre-application: Not applying for permits online wastes half a day in queues in Leh; apply 48 hours before.

3. Using airport forex: Forex counters give 7 to 9% worse rates; withdraw cash locally instead.

4. Buying Diamox in Leh: Costs INR 180 to INR 250 per tablet vs INR 8 to INR 12 in Delhi; carry it beforehand.

5. Not sharing a private SUV: Solo booking can cost INR 14,000 to INR 19,000 per person; split it with a group.

6. Eating only at hotels: Meals cost INR 600 to INR 900 vs INR 100 to INR 180 at dhabas; eat local when possible.

7. Missing HRTC buses: Emergency taxis cost INR 2,000 to INR 4,000 per route; confirm schedules in advance

Why Choose Thrillophilia for Your Ladakh Expedition from Delhi?

We plan Ladakh trips around altitude, not just destinations. The focus is on making the itinerary work efficiently from the moment you land. Aditya Sachdeva, one of our verified travellers from Delhi, who booked the Srinagar Leh Manali | FREE Customisation package, shared in March 2025 that, “A very well-managed tour with smooth travel and great stays. The driver and guide, Pooja Singh, ensured everything was safe and enjoyable. Thanks to Thrillophilia for making this trip memorable.”

  • ILP Pre-Management – We provide guidance for Inner Line Permit applications for your Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, and Tso Moriri trips 72 hours before your departure so that your permits are active on arrival in Leh. This avoids DC office queues and protects your first two days.
  • Acclimatisation Monitoring – Every group follows a structured acclimatisation check using pulse oximeters on Day 1 and Day 2 in Leh. If resting SpO₂ levels drop below 90%, the itinerary is reviewed before any further movement.
  • DEL–LEH Flight Alignment – Itineraries are aligned with early morning Delhi to Leh flights, typically between 06:00 and 08:00 in the morning. This maximises rest time on arrival before altitude impact builds.
  • Stay Selection by Location – Hotels and camps are selected based on proximity to medical access, road connectivity, and altitude suitability rather than just category or pricing for your comfort, safety and satisfaction.

Our approach ensures your Ladakh trip from Delhi runs on schedule, not adjustment. So what are you waiting for? Talk to our travel expert and get your journey backed with a well-planned itinerary from one of our Ladakh tour packages from Delhi.

Leh-Ladakh delivered everything I had been dreaming about - Pangong Lake, Khardung La, Nubra Valley. The roads are tough but every single kilometre is worth it for views that simply don't exist anywhere else. Our driver Stanzin was experienced, calm and an absolute asset on the high-altitude stretches.

Visiting Shimla felt like stepping into a charming old town, especially around the Ridge and Mall Road. The walk to Jakhu Temple was fun, even with monkeys around. Exploring local markets and trying street food made the trip more enjoyable. Everything was well organized and easy!

Ladakh Tours From delhi FAQs

Is there a direct flight from Delhi to Leh?

Yes, there are multiple daily direct flights from Delhi to Leh. Airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, and SpiceJet operate nonstop flights between Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL). The average flight duration for this route is 1 hour and 30 minutes

What permits are required for a Ladakh tour package from Delhi?

For Indian citizens, a physical Inner Line Permit (ILP) is no longer required for most tourist areas like Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake. Instead, you must register and pay a mandatory Environment/Development Fee (EDF) online through the official LAHDC portal. However, foreign nationals still require a Protected Area Permit (PAP), and all travelers must carry multiple physical printouts of their government-issued ID proofs for military checkpoints.

Is Ladakh safe for families with children?

Yes, a Ladakh tour from Delhi for family is generally safe for families if acclimatisation is handled properly. The first 48 hours in Leh should be reserved for rest before attempting higher-altitude locations.

What is the best way to travel from Delhi to Ladakh?

The fastest and most practical way to travel from Delhi to Ladakh is by taking a direct 1.5-hour flight to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh. Alternatively, adventure travellers can take a scenic road trip over several days via the Manali-Leh Highway or the Srinagar-Leh Highway, though these routes are strictly seasonal and require acclimatisation. Whichever route you choose, resting in Leh for the first 24 to 48 hours is vital to prevent acute mountain sickness (AMS).

Can I plan a Ladakh tour package from Delhi in November or December?

Yes, you can absolutely plan your Ladakh tour package from Delhi in November or December, but you can only travel by air. Both the Manali-Leh and Srinagar-Leh highways close by late October or November due to heavy snowfall, leaving daily direct flights from Delhi as the only entry route. Winters bring brutal temperatures dropping below -15°C, requiring heavy woollens, though major internal circuits like Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake usually stay accessible unless active blizzards temporarily block the high passes.

How is Ladakh as a honeymoon destination?

Ladakh is an exceptionally unique and romantic honeymoon destination, offering surreal landscapes, pristine starry skies, and intimate luxury stays like premium heated glamping tents. However, it requires a flexible and resilient couple, as the freezing weather, rugged terrain, and mandatory initial 48-hour rest period for altitude acclimatisation can challenge traditional ideas of a relaxed vacation. It is perfect for couples seeking raw adventure over a conventional tropical resort experience. Book your Ladakh honeymoon package with Thrillophilia and customise your itinerary as per your preference.

Which mobile networks work in Ladakh for tourists?

Only postpaid SIM cards from networks like Airtel Postpaid, Jio Postpaid, and BSNL Postpaid work roaming-free in the Ladakh region. Prepaid SIM cards from any Indian state outside of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh will go completely dead the moment you land. If you only have a prepaid connection, you will need to buy a local BSNL or Airtel prepaid SIM directly from the Leh market by submitting physical copies of your ID proof and photos.

What is the mandatory acclimatisation rule for travellers?

The Leh District Administration enforces a strict, non-negotiable 48-hour acclimatisation period for all tourists arriving by air. During these first two days, you are legally restricted from crossing high-altitude passes like Khardung La or visiting Pangong Lake. You must observe complete bed rest or limit yourself to very light, flat walks around Leh town to prevent severe acute mountain sickness (AMS).

Can I take my self-drive rented car for the Delhi to Ladakh tour package?

You can drive a self-owned car to Leh, but commercial self-drive rentals (like Zoomcar) from Delhi are strictly banned from local sightseeing within Ladakh. The local transport unions allow out-of-state vehicles to drop you off at your hotel in Leh town. For exploring internal regions like Nubra Valley or Hanle, you must rent a local taxi or a motorcycle registered within the Union Territory of Ladakh.

How much cash should I carry, and are ATMs widely available?

You must carry a significant amount of physical cash because digital payments like UPI and card machines frequently fail due to unstable internet. While Leh town has functional ATMs from major banks like SBI and HDFC, electronic cash dispensers are virtually non-existent in remote circuits like Pangong Tso or Nubra Valley. It is highly recommended to withdraw all necessary funds for fuel, food, and tipping before leaving Leh town.
