Ladakh trip through Thrillophilia. The acclimatisation day in Leh — I was not convinced we needed it. I was wrong. By Day 2 one person in our group had a headache bad enough that without that rest day the trip would have ended for him there. The Thrillophilia team had sent a detailed altitude note with medicine recommendations before departure. We had brought everything on the list. That preparation showed. Pangong Lake at 5:30am with no other vehicle in sight. The colour was not what I expected — it shifted from cobalt blue to teal to almost green depending on where the light was coming from. We stayed two hours longer than the plan said.

We recently completed our Ladakh trip through Thrillophilia and it was truly one of the most memorable experiences of our life. The itinerary covered Leh, Pangong Lake, Nubra Valley and Khardungla Pass. The acclimatisation day in Leh on Day 1 was very important and we were grateful it was built into the plan two of us felt the altitude by Day 2 but recovered well because of the rest day. Pangong Lake in the early morning when the colours keep shifting from blue to green to teal no photograph captures it properly. Nubra Valley sand dunes with the snow mountains behind is a completely unique combination. Our driver was excellent on the mountain roads and very helpful with local knowledge. Team was always reachable. Big thanks to Thrillophilia for such a smooth and well planned Ladakh experience.

Escaping the humidity of Vadodara for Ladakh’s snowy peaks was a refreshing experience. Thrillophilia planned the itinerary very well, covering high passes and border villages. The hotels were cozy with great heating, making the stay comfortable throughout the trip.
