Best Time to Visit Mauritius
1. Summer (November to April): Warm, humid weather with temperatures between 25°C–30°C makes this season ideal for beach and water-based activities. With declining rains in March, it is a popular time to visit iconic spots like Ile Aux Cerfs, Black River Gorges National Park, as well as Tamarind Waterfalls. You can also enjoy scuba diving in Trou aux Biches, island hopping in Île aux Cerfs other than trekking to Le Morne Brabant.
2. Winter (May to October): Cool and dry conditions (16°C–20°C) provide perfect weather for outdoor adventures. June is suitable for exploring nature trails like Le Pouce and Black River Peak. You can also enjoy activities such as kayaking, kitesurfing, and dolphin-spotting in Tamarin Bay amidst fewer crowds and clear skies.
3. Monsoon (February–March, May & October): These months bring intermittent rain and dense greenery. While hot and humid, this is the best time for spa retreats, submarine safaris, and visiting attractions like Pamplemousses Botanical Garden. Food lovers can enjoy tasting Mauritian street food during cozy downpours.
1. Port Louis: You can walk through the lively Chinatown, visit the Aapravasi Ghat UNESCO site, admire ocean views from Fort Adelaide other than relaxing in the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden.
2. Ile Aux Cerfs Beach: Spend your weekend diving, snorkel in turquoise lagoons, sunbathe on powdery sands, shop local pearl jewellery, and relish street-style seafood like Boulettes.
3. Belle Mare: You can soak up the sun on the white sand beaches, dive into thrilling water sports like speedboating and windsurfing apart from tasting fresh seafood at cozy seaside restaurants.
4. Casela Nature Parks: Ride through an African safari to spot giraffes and zebras, walk across the thrilling Nepalese Bridge, or meet big cats up close.
5. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden: You can walk along ponds of giant Amazonian water lilies, spot 85 types of palms from across the world, or admire spice trees at this historic Botanical Garden.
1. Explore La Vallee Des Couleurs Nature Park: Zipline over green valleys, ride quad bikes through rugged trails, cross the thrilling Nepalese bridge, hike to waterfalls, and admire the stunning 23-Coloured Earth formations.
2. Walk Through Thekkady’s Spice Plantations: You can see pepper, cardamom, and nutmeg grow up close, learn about traditional farming methods besides tasting fresh spices right from the growers.
3. Witness the Underwater World at Blue Bay Marine Park: You can snorkel in shallow, clear waters to spot brain corals, clownfish, and wrasse apart from taking a glass-bottom boat ride.
4. Visit Eureka House: Explore Mauritius’ colonial past at this Creole mansion with 109 doors and windows, antique collections, green gardens, waterfalls, and beautiful views of Lake Moka.
5. Tour the Pilgrimage Site of Grand Bassin: You can visit this sacred crater lake surrounded by temples and giant deities, where pilgrims gather during Maha Shivaratri with their kanwars to honour its link to the Ganges.

Our coordinator Neha mam was very helpful from the start. All information was shared on WhatsApp one day before each activity so we always knew what was happening next. No confusion at any point during the trip. The whole trip was hassle free and well organised.
Big thanks to Neha mam and the whole team at Thrillophilia. Will definitely plan our next international trip with them only.
Mauritius family package was one of those rare holidays where everyone from grandparents to toddlers had a brilliant time.
The lagoons, the beaches and the sheer friendliness of the locals made every day feel effortless and warm.
I recently had a Mauritius trip with Thrillophilia and overall it was a very nice experience. Our agent was friendly and gave us many options keeping our budget in mind. She also did continuous follow up during the planning stage which was reassuring. The trip itself was well planned. Ile Aux Cerfs island was beautiful, the 7 coloured earth at Chamarel was something we had seen in pictures but it still surprised us in person. The resort on the lagoon was comfortable and the food was good. One thing I will mention honestly is that I was told there would be a briefing call two days before departure but that did not happen. Because of this there... Read More
We booked the Mauritius package for our anniversary through Thrillophilia. The agent was patient and took time to understand what kind of trip we were looking for rather than pushing a standard package. April in Mauritius turned out to be a good choice as the island was green after the earlier rains and the sea was calm enough for the catamaran trip to Ile Aux Cerfs to be smooth. The 7-coloured earth at Chamarel was more vivid in person than any picture we had seen. Belle Mare beach on the last morning before checkout. A helicopter ride for the underwater waterfall view was suggested by our coordinator and we almost did not add it for budget ... Read More
The weather was perfect and the island was less crowded. Ile Aux Cerfs island hopping was the best day of the trip. The 7-coloured earth at Chamarel genuinely looks like a painting. Hotel staff were incredibly warm and hospitable.
The resort Thrillophilia chose was directly on a white sand lagoon and had the most beautiful sunrise view every morning. Parasailing at Belle Mare, submarine tour to see coral reefs, catamaran sunset cruise — each day had something memorable. Super aiindi poora experience. Highly recommended!
Mauritius whole experience was great! Catamaran cruise to the private sandbank was the standout activity of the trip. Flight included in the package made the planning and booking so straightforward. Saras rahi hotel and beach access. Only wished for slightly more free beach time on day four. Will recommend to all couples!
