With Thrillophilia you get to shape your own Darjeeling trip, whether that means starting your morning at Tiger Hill or adding a ride on the toy train. Or, you could even skip touristy spots for a quiet tea garden tour. Sometimes, all you really want is a peaceful stroll through Mall Road instead of ticking off a checklist, and that’s totally doable.
2. Affordable Pricing: Packages range from budget homestays to boutique hotels near Chowrasta, so you’ll find something that fits, without having to stretch your wallet.
3. 24/7 Customer Support: Lost on your way to Ghum Monastery? Not sure how to get to Bhutia Market before closing time? Our support team is active 24/7, and you will get a human response, not a robotic message telling you to “try again later”.
4. Flexible Travel Options: Choose to go by train, flight, or combine a Delhi–Siliguri flight with a scenic road journey onward to Darjeeling. You can even choose to change your return dates or extend your stay in Kalimpong or Gangtok. This kind of flexibility is only offered by Thrillophilia, whether your Darjeeling trip from Delhi is with family or in a group.
5. Unique Experiences: A true experience in Darjeeling is not just about reaching Tiger Hill before sunrise. Thrillophilia packages often include unique experiences like tea-tasting at Makaibari, monastery visits with local guides, and even slow walks through Darjeeling’s old colonial lanes. The toy train ride is great, but sipping hot tea with a view of the valley? That is a calming and beautiful experience.
Batasia Loop is a spiral railway track located just 5 km from Darjeeling, built to help the toy train handle steep gradients. It’s known for its landscaped gardens and the War Memorial dedicated to Gorkha soldiers. From here, you get one of the clearest views of Kanchenjunga. You’ll likely find this spot included in most Darjeeling tour packages from Delhi, since the toy train ride slows down here, giving you a solid chance to get that perfect mountain shot.
2. Nightingale Park
Located right behind Chowrasta Mall, Nightingale Park is popular for a short, scenic break. You’ll walk through a gated entrance and into a pathway lined with benches, flower beds, and views of the Eastern Himalayas. The park has a tall Shiva statue in the center, and on clear days, the backdrop looks like a movie scene. The park’s walking loop is popular with early risers and locals as a calm stop that adds greenery to your Darjeeling trip from Delhi.
3. Tiger Hill
Tiger Hill is where most tourists go before sunrise, located about 13 km from town. You’ll drive up in the dark to catch the first light hitting Mt. Kanchenjunga, and on exceptionally clear days, even see the tip of Mt. Everest. The viewpoint has a dedicated platform with seating, but it gets crowded by 5 AM. Since your Darjeeling holiday package from Delhi will include early departure, don't forget to layer up.
4. Darjeeling Peace Pagoda
Built between 1972 and 1992, the Peace Pagoda is situated on Jalapahar Hill and showcases four avatars of Buddha in golden relief. The white stupa is part of a global network of peace pagodas built by the Japanese Buddhist community. The pagoda is a quiet space and from the top, you get panoramic views of the town and surrounding valleys. It’s a frequent stop in our curated Darjeeling tour packages from Delhi that focus on both culture and nature.
5. Darjeeling Rock Garden
The Rock Garden is located about 7 km from town and is layered with stone pathways, man-made waterfalls, and terrace gardens. The spot was developed by the Gorkha Hill Council and has resting sheds and food stalls near the lower levels. It’s a good half-day trip that adds a bit of nature to your itinerary, and you can spend about 1–2 hours here.
Darjeeling’s tea estates are among the most iconic in the world. Happy Valley Tea Estate, just 2 km from town, offers guided tours where you can walk through the plantation, see the withering and rolling process, and even taste freshly brewed first-flush tea. A lot of Darjeeling tour packages from Delhi include this experience, especially for those curious about how that famous “Darjeeling tea” actually ends up in your cup.
2. Darjeeling Ropeway
The Darjeeling Ropeway, also known as the Darjeeling Rangit Valley Ropeway and the Rangeet Valley Passenger Cable Car, takes you from Singamari down to the lush valleys near Tukvar. The ride covers about 8 km round-trip in around 45 minutes and offers bird’s-eye views of tea gardens, rolling hills, and distant waterfalls. Each cable car cabin fits six people, and the descent over the valley is scenic. It’s a popular highlight in any Darjeeling holiday package from Delhi, especially for first-time travellers.
3. Take a Ride in the Toy Train
The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway toy train runs between Darjeeling and Ghum, with shorter joy rides available from the station. This UNESCO World Heritage ride moves past Batasia Loop, tea gardens in Kurseong, and offers views of several local villages. The train uses vintage steam or diesel engines, and gives you a great view of the Himalayas. You’ll hear the whistle echo through the valleys, a small but unforgettable part of your Darjeeling trip from Delhi.
4. River Rafting in Teesta River
For those craving adventure, river rafting in the Teesta River is ideal. The rafting stretch near Teesta Bazaar offers Grade II and III rapids, which are beginner-friendly but equally thrilling. It’s best done between March and June when water levels are just right, and it adds a wild twist to your otherwise calm Darjeeling itinerary.

Our experience with Thrillophilia team was fabulous. Each and everything was planned as per iternary. Stay at Divine Grace and Divine Himalayan Resort was good and cab drivers service was excellent. The team went above and beyond to make our trip seamless. Our guide in all location was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable.
Thanks to Thrillophilia and Team
Overall, we had a wonderful experience—especially with the local people, who were warm and welcoming. The local tour guides and driver-cum-guides were exceptionally skilled, professional, and added great value to our journey.
That said, all commitments were honored, and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. This may have been a one-off hiccup, and I would still recommend Thrillophilia for future travel. A memorable journey overall!

Reviews from verified travellers who booked their trips with us
The overall experience was pretty good, except for the gangtok hotel. The rooms were a bit cramped and claustrophobic, but on request, they'll change it for us.
Overall experience was very good, they managed travel itineraries and site seeing as per the plan and able to cover most of the places which are part of the actual plan. There was a regular follow up throughout the trip and ensured the safe and on time pickup and drop. The stay at Darjeeling and Gangtok hotels were good, however the Pelling hotel was average. I would recommend Thrillophilia’s for future trips, as they were well organised and ensured peaceful travel throughout the trip.
North East India is underrated and Thrillophilia packaged it in a way that made it accessible without losing the rawness of the region. Dzukou Valley in Nagaland, Loktak Lake in Manipur, the tribal villages. These are not on typical tourist circuits and yet Thrillophilia had everything organised and smooth. A trip that changed my perspective on travelling within India.
Thanks to Rahul from the sales team for designing such a wonderful itinerary for us and for continuously checking in on us throughout the trip.
We booked with Thrillophilia for a 9 days trip to Gangtok and Darjeeling. Our contact person Gautam with whom I did the booking was available throughout the trip.. We had a partial booking of our hotel stay as we had a voucher from Karma club and the rest of the trip was to be orgbaised around it. Still they did a great job of it. Hotel rooms were decent but could be better. They have a tie up with Ankita holidays for North East. The local person Mr Shambu Singh kept in touch daily to check and updated us with the driver details etc. Overall a good trip. We enjoyed it...
Sikkim family holiday was perfectly designed the right mix of nature, culture and comfortable pacing for kids.
Tsomgo Lake and Rumtek Monastery were absolute favourites and the kids couldn't stop talking about the yaks.
Good hotels, very helpful guides and no unpleasant surprises throughout the trip.
The toy train from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling was pure nostalgia. Gurudongmar Lake at sunrise with the Himalayan backdrop was one of the most beautiful things I have ever witnessed. Thrillophilia added an unexpected yak ride at Tsomgo Lake for the kids which they absolutely loved. Very well planned trip for my family
