How to Reach:
The easiest option to start this trip is by either reaching the Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) in Siliguri (West Bengal). Both are very well connected with the major cities all over India, as it serves as a major gateway to North-East India.
Pelling has no railway station or airport. So, it is difficult to travel by train or flight. You will have to hire a taxi or cab from the nearest airport or railway station. But, you can reach Pelling from Gangtok on road via Ravangla. You can also use the opportunity to visit the Buddha Park.
The distance from Gangtok to Pelling is about 116 KM. The time needed to cover this distance on the road is about 4 hours. It might take a little bit more time if you make a pit stop at the Buddha Park to marvel at the huge statue of Lord Buddha.
