The package is quite compelling, the sports were well-supervised. But both the sports feel almost the same, in both, you are launched and hover above water. All in all, a good package.

I was scared at first but the guys are really helpful and give you the liberty to navigate even if you are a novice enthusiast
Does flyboarding require a lot of Strength?
There is no strength required in flyboarding, be it physical or mental. But, it requires a lot of balance as one might rarely lose his/her control. As far as you get synced with the rhythm of water, you can do flyboard endlessly with the flow of water. If you’re first-time to flyboarding in Dubai, you will be taught by a professional instructor for the first 10 minutes. This helps anyone to gain confidence and increase his adventurous spirit. Once you’re comfortable with the basic training, you’d be allowed to experience the soaring above the water surface.
Is there a height or weight limit?
Yes. The flyers should be between 100lbs and 300lbs, which are between 45 kg and 136 kg. In order to balance the water surface, there need to be a minimum and maximum weight. Or else, the flyer can fly beyond a controllable height or doesn’t fly at all. When it comes to height, there is no such restriction to do flyboarding. But it is recommended that one must have a minimum shoe size of women’s 5, so that they can stand and hold the device firmly. Please remember, if you’re a minor, either your parent or guardian should be present with you.
How does Flyboarding work?
In simple terms, flyboard is a personal jet pack that raises you from the sea level. The water pressure produced from personal watercraft (PWC) is passed through a 55-foot hose that is splitting into two separate nozzles placed at your bottom. It is pointed down and creates the lift. And there is a detachable main bearing directly beneath the Flyboard. It allows you to spin freely around the supply hose. Here, the throttle can be controlled by both the PWC and the flyer. While learning, the PWC will control the throttle. Once you’re comfortable with the device, you can control the throttle and do all amazing stunts.
Why is flyboarding in Dubai is famous?
Flyboarding in Dubai is famous mainly because it is easy and quick to learn. When compared to other adventurous sports such as snowboarding and wakeboarding, this activity is ten times easier to do. Secondly, it gives an adrenaline rush feeling which you would’ve never experienced anywhere else. In this water sport, one may feel like reaching a height of 8 feet from the sea level, but actually, he or she will be reaching a maximum height of 4 feet only. Thirdly, the ride is open to most of the age groups starting from 12 years and who fall under the required height and weight.
What should I wear on my flyboard adventure?
To try this enthralling water sport, you are recommended to wear a comfy short or trouser. On the top, you can be wearing a slightly fitted t-shirt or bare body is also fine for boys. You will be provided with a helmet and a life jacket for safety purposes, but be prepared to swim in the water, just in case. On top of this, you need to bring your own beach towel, dry clothes to change, sunscreen lotion or cream, and a bottle of drinking water. If all your clothes become wet, you can buy new ones from the nearby shop.
How to reach for Dubai flyboarding?
The exact place of Hydro WaterSports Flyboard & Jetpack and Jetovator is at JBR Beach. It is located beside the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Dubai. Since the location is well-connected with road and metros, one can easily reach the destination. The easiest way is by using the metro service. One can use the metro rail and reach either the Dubai Marina Metro Station or Jumeirah Lake Towers Metro Station. From there, you can hire a taxi from either station and arrive at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. If you’re a stern walker, you can reach the destination by taking a stroll from the metro station. It hardly takes 20 minutes.
How high can I fly?
Unlike other places, flyboarding in Dubai is extremely adventurous and exciting. Based on the individual’s ability and spirit, he or she can reach a maximum height. It also depends on who is controlling the throttle. If the throttle is controlled by the instructor, you may reach a certain height, which is undeniable. But, if the throttle control is in your hands, then it’s up to you. Moreover, one’s weight also determines how high he/she can fly. Obviously, if you are less weight you are likely to reach a greater height, and vice versa.
Is flyboarding in Dubai is safe?
Yes. Flyboarding in Dubai is absolutely safe for flyers. Since safety is our first priority, we make sure that the flyer is feeling comfortable while learning and at indulging in the sport. During the training session, you will come to know the nuances which ultimately give you enough confidence. Also, the control of the throttle is with the instructor, so he knows the maximum speed limit one can reach. You will be given a helmet and a life jacket, which ensures your safety 200 percent. Even though one doesn’t know basic swimming, these safety things will help him/her stay above the water.
How long will it take me to learn to Flyboard?
From the given 30-minutes flyboard session, the first 10 minutes is dedicated to instructions from the professional, followed by a few trials on the water. At this time, you can ask any doubts to the instructor about the device or related to safety. Once you’re feeling comfortable with the device, you will be allowed to have the real thrill. Unlike other water rides, flyboard is very easy to learn, and it will take just a few minutes to acquire the desired skills. Don’t forget, maintaining balance is the key to this ride. If you master it, you are the best.
How fast can you travel above and underwater with the flyboard?
Based on the horsepower, weight of the PWC, and the weight of the flyer, we can determine how fast one can travel above and underwater with the flyboard. Typically, one can reach at a speed of 15 – 20 mph. While doing a ‘dolphin’ maneuver, we suggest you do not try to go deeper than 8 feet. It causes you ear pain or sometimes ruptures your eardrums if you descend too swiftly without equalizing. Thus, you can travel really fast above and underwater, but, you have to make sure that it doesn’t lead to any minor injury.
