Our food and stays were excellent; we particularly appreciated the thoughtful additions like bed heaters and the chance to savor authentic local food. Spiti was one the best destinations in India if you are looking for top experiences. The landscape is unlike anything in India, barren, vast and silently spectacular. Thrillophilia pre-trip guidance was thorough. Team reachable throughout. The monks at Tabo monastery were welcoming and spoke to us for an hour. Worth every kilometre of rough road.
Ladakh trip through Thrillophilia. The acclimatisation day in Leh — I was not convinced we needed it. I was wrong. By Day 2 one person in our group had a headache bad enough that without that rest day the trip would have ended for him there. The Thrillophilia team had sent a detailed altitude note with medicine recommendations before departure. We had brought everything on the list. That preparation showed.
Pangong Lake at 5:30am with no other vehicle in sight. The colour was not what I expected — it shifted from cobalt blue to teal to almost green depending on where the light was coming from. We stayed two hours longer than the plan said.
Badhu khubaj saras arrange karyu hatu!. From Surat to the high altitudes of Kaza, it was a wonderful journey. Thrillophilia’s team was very supportive. The beauty of Chandratal Lake is beyond words and the camping experience was top-notch. We had a great time and made some amazing friends during the trip. Guide Ram was also very nice Perosn and knowledgeable.
Would love to go with Thrillophilla again.
Only one thing I didn’t like is the selection of camps/tent as I could see many other good options available nearby locations(chitkul, sissu)
