Sissu Waterfall Overview

Sissu Waterfalls is located on the bank of the Chandra River and is popularly known as Khagling. Located in Lahual Valley in Himachal Pradesh, this is a waterfall known for its greenery that surrounds the waterfalls, creating a picturesque setting. The cascading waterfall is one of the highest of its kind and comes with some of the best views when one is travelling from Leh to Manali. The locals believe that the water from this waterfall comes from the glaciers located in the Himalayas.

The waterfall is neatly tucked away amidst the greenery of the natural surroundings and is not disturbed by any sort of urbanisation. Apart from the waterfall, the surrounding greenery include pine and willow trees that you can admire from this stunning viewpoint. There is a trekking route that can take you to the bottom of the falls and can also introduce you to the local folklore and traditions of the village.

By Car: The activity location is 38 km from the city centre, it will take 1 hour 30 minutes min via the NH 3 route and the Atal tunnel route.

The Sissu falls is open throughout the year, so you can plan a visit to this falls at any time of the year. Plan your visit to the falls during the weekday as this is the time when the crowds are less and you can get the best views of the falls without much problem.
