Harsh from sales team is very well informed about Kashmir , All the curated properties i asked for was delivered , and the best posssible rooms with view was booked. Thanks thrillophilia to provide this semi luxury stays within my budget. This was my 2nd trip with Thrillophilia and we had an amazing holiday with a total of 4 families, thanks to the arrangements by the Thrillophilia team. All the arrangements, including local travel, stay with breakfast and dinner at really good hotels. Ansab was very supporting and ensured we all had an amazing experience of Kashmir. When we get this sort of an experience, a recommendation and review is a must for the team making it possible. Looking forward for another trip with Thrillophilia.
I recently explored Kashmir with Thrillophilia, and it was a fantastic experience. The trip was perfectly organized, the stays were great, and the support team was always helpful. Kashmir’s scenic beauty made the journey truly unforgettable. Would definitely travel with them again!
Kashmir Reviews By Departure City
Reviews from verified travellers who booked their Kashmir tour packages from different cities across India
The trip was super good. I had a group trip to ladakh via manali. Firstly, trillophilla got us a thoughful combination of hotels/homestays/camps/cottages. And all of them were of good quality. The driver and local toor companies hired by trillophilla were great . The travel vehicle was in great condition. My only complain was volvo. They could have got us a better volvo from dehli to manali. Rest, well planned itenary, good quality food, nice places to stay, great travel vehicle and guide. It really helped to make my ladakh trip hassle free and a meomerable one.
We had a wonderful experience during this trip. Our travel experience was smooth and good. Travel guide assigned to us was Dawood, who treated us exceptionally well. Dawood was amazing and professional in his conduct and he made our trip in Kashmir more pleasant.
The tulip garden, shikara ride, Gulmarg, every moment felt magical. Our coordinator had added small personal touches like flower arrangements in the houseboat room. That level of care made the trip special. Highly recommend for couples.
Ladakh kaise describe karein, words kam pad jaate hain. Nubra Valley mein ek taraf barfeelay pahaad aur doosri taraf ret. Pangong ke rang subah subah dekhne ke baad photography ka matlab samajh aaya. Thrillophilia ki team ne sabkuch plan kiya tha, hume bas enjoy karna tha.
Gulmarg = crazy views.
Rest trip also good.
Driver Yaseen was solid guy.
Little waiting at gondola but expected.
Overall sorted.
Thrillophilia team 5 out of 5
We took our elderly parents to Kashmir for the first time and it planned it perfectly for senior travellers. Comfortable vehicles, no rushed stops, ground floor room in Srinagar. My father sat on the houseboat balcony watching the mountains for an hour without saying a word. Some trips stay with you. This is one of them.
The overall trip felt easy because things were already well arranged. We didn’t have to keep checking plans or worry about local coordination. The support during the journey was reliable, which made it easier to just enjoy the place. Thank you Rohan and Aditi from the Thrillophilia team and our local driver Rizwan.

What Makes Kashmir Holiday Package Prices Go Up or Down
A Kashmir trip cost mainly depends on four factors:
1. Travel Season: Prices are highest during the summer season (April–June) and winter snowfall season (December–February), when hotel and flight rates increase due to high demand.
2. Local Transportation: Some attractions, such as Betaab Valley and Thajiwas Glacier, require local taxis that are often not included in standard packages, adding to the overall cost.
3. Gondola Tickets: Gulmarg Gondola tickets, especially for Phase 2, are in high demand and can increase trip costs if booked separately.
4. Houseboat Stays: The type and location of your houseboat matter. Premium houseboats, particularly on Nigeen Lake, cost more than standard options on Dal Lake.
How Thrillophilia Helps You Save on Kashmir Trip Costs?
By booking in advance and working closely with hotels, houseboats, and local operators across Kashmir, we are able to offer better rates and availability to our travellers. We also offer Kashmir tour packages with flights, which are marginally more economical than booking them separately due to bulk deals. Many travellers have appreciated this experience. In a 5-star review on 04 May 2026, Vinod Vinod, who booked the Highlights of Kashmir | FREE Shikara Ride on Dal Lake package, shared that his group of four families had a wonderful holiday and praised the smooth travel arrangements, comfortable stays, and helpful support provided by the Thrillophilia team throughout the trip.
How to Reach Kashmir
Kashmir is one of India's most visited domestic destinations. According to official tourism data, tourist arrivals crossed 521,000 by mid-May 2026 and exceeded 600,000 visitors by the first week of June 2026. One of the main reasons for this popularity is its good connectivity through flights, trains, and roads, making it accessible from major cities across India.
By Air
Flying is the fastest and most convenient way to reach Kashmir, making it the preferred choice for most travellers. Srinagar Airport is well-connected to major Indian cities, with direct flights available from Delhi, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. Travellers from cities such as Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad mostly connect through Delhi. Direct flights from Delhi are often the most economical option, while connecting flights via Delhi can sometimes cost INR 1,500 to INR 3,000 less than premium non-stop alternatives on certain routes. Based on airfare trends, flights departing on Thursday evenings and Friday mornings generally experience a 20–35% price increase due to higher demand.
By Train
Travelling by train is a budget-friendly option, particularly for those who enjoy scenic journeys. While Srinagar does not currently have a direct railway connection, Jammu Tawi Railway Station serves as the nearest major railhead and is well-connected to cities across India. Popular services include the New Delhi–Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express and the Jhelum Express. From Jammu, travellers continue their journey to Srinagar by road, with the drive taking around 5–6 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
By Road
A road trip to Kashmir offers a memorable experience for travellers who enjoy mountain landscapes and scenic drives. The journey primarily follows National Highway 44 (NH-44), passing notable landmarks such as the Jawahar Tunnel and Chenani-Nashri Tunnel. Regular transportation options include private taxis as well as JKSRTC government buses operating between Jammu and Srinagar. Travellers driving from Delhi cover approximately 800 kilometres, with the journey usually taking 18–20 hours depending on traffic, weather conditions, and road status.

Best Time to Visit Kashmir: Season-by-Season Guide
Kashmir experiences four distinct seasons, and each transforms the landscape in a completely different way. From snow-covered mountains in winter to blooming tulip gardens in spring and golden Chinar trees in autumn, the best time to visit depends on the experience you're looking for.
Winter (December to February)
Winter is the best time to visit Kashmir if you want to experience snowfall. The valley looks completely different during these months, with snow-covered mountains, frozen lakes, and chilly weather. Gulmarg becomes a favourite spot for skiing, snowboarding, and other snow activities, while Srinagar offers beautiful winter views with occasional snowfall and misty mornings. Temperatures usually range from -4°C to 10°C. Since heavy snowfall can sometimes affect road travel, it is helpful to keep some flexibility in your plans.
Spring (March to May)
Spring brings Kashmir back to life after winter. Gardens and valleys fill with colourful flowers, almond blossoms begin to bloom, and the famous Tulip Garden in Srinagar becomes one of the region's biggest attractions. Snow can still be seen on the surrounding mountains, creating a beautiful contrast with the fresh greenery below. With temperatures ranging between 8°C and 20°C, the weather is comfortable for sightseeing, photography, and outdoor activities. This is one of the most popular seasons for visitors.
Summer (June to August)
Summer is considered one of the best times to visit Kashmir. The weather remains pleasant, the skies are usually clear, and all major tourist destinations are easily accessible. Temperatures generally range from 15°C to 30°C, making it comfortable for sightseeing and outdoor experiences. Whether it is a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, a visit to the meadows of Gulmarg, or exploring the valleys of Pahalgam and Sonmarg, summer offers ideal conditions for a relaxed holiday. It is also the most popular season for family vacations.
Autumn (September to November)
Autumn gives Kashmir a completely different charm. The famous Chinar trees turn into shades of yellow, orange, and red, creating some of the most beautiful landscapes in the valley. The weather remains pleasant, with temperatures usually ranging from 7°C to 22°C, making it ideal for sightseeing and photography. Since there are fewer tourists compared to the summer season, travellers can enjoy a quieter and more peaceful experience while admiring the region's colourful scenery.
Best Dishes to Try in Kashmir
Kashmir is known for its rich and flavourful cuisine. While many traditional dishes are meat-based, vegetarian travellers can also enjoy plenty of delicious local specialities. Most hotels and restaurants can arrange vegetarian meals if informed in advance.
Wazwan: Kashmir's Traditional Feast
Wazwan is a famous multi-course Kashmiri meal prepared by expert chefs known as wazas. It is served with rice and includes several traditional dishes such as Rogan Josh, Yakhni, Gushtaba, and Tabak Maaz. Wazwan is known for its rich flavours and generous portions.
Other Popular Vegetarian Dishes
Haak Saag – A simple and healthy Kashmiri leafy green dish.
Nadru Yakhni – Lotus stem cooked in a creamy yogurt-based gravy.
Dum Aloo – Potatoes cooked in a flavorful Kashmiri spice blend.
Rajma Chawal – Kidney beans served with rice, a local favourite.
Must-Try Kashmiri Specialties
Gushtaba – Soft mutton meatballs slow-cooked in a rich yogurt gravy.
Tabak Maaz – Crispy fried lamb ribs, tender on the inside and crunchy outside.
Lyodur Tschaman (Waza Paneer) – Cottage cheese cooked in a mild yogurt and turmeric-based sauce.
Masala Tsot – A popular street-food wrap made with Lavasa bread, spiced white peas, and tangy radish-yoghurt chutney.
Where to Try These Dishes in Kashmir
Many of these traditional Kashmiri dishes can be enjoyed at popular restaurants in Srinagar, such as Ahdoos, Mughal Darbar, and Shamyana Restaurant, all known for serving authentic local cuisine. Visitors can also find regional specialties at local eateries around Dal Lake, Lal Chowk, and Residency Road. For a more immersive experience, several heritage hotels and resorts in Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam offer traditional Kashmiri meals, including Wazwan. Street-food favourites like Masala Tsot are best sampled from local bakeries and food stalls in Srinagar's bustling markets.
Kashmir Travel Essentials & Safety Advisory for Indian Travellers
Kashmir is one of those destinations where a well-planned trip makes all the difference. For most travellers visiting popular places like Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam in 2026, the experience is safe, comfortable, and well-managed.
According to a January 2026 WION report, Kashmir saw a significant increase in winter tourist arrivals, especially in Srinagar and Gulmarg. To manage the growing number of visitors, authorities have strengthened security arrangements and improved crowd management during peak travel periods.
Plan Your Gulmarg Gondola Ride Early: The Gulmarg Gondola is one of the most popular experiences in Kashmir, but it requires some planning. During peak winter months, especially December and January, queues at the gondola counters start getting longer by around 10 AM. Arriving early can help you avoid long waits and save 1–2 hours.
Houseboat Stays Offer a Unique Experience: Whether or not to stay in a houseboat depends on your travel style, but many visitors consider it one of the highlights of their Kashmir trip. Staying on a houseboat on Dal Lake offers a unique experience that feels very different from a regular hotel stay. Luxury houseboats are also available for travellers looking for added comfort and premium facilities.
Hotels Provide Comfort and Convenience: Hotels in Srinagar are ideal for travellers who prefer modern comforts and easy access to the city. They generally offer better heating facilities during winter and are conveniently located near major attractions, shopping areas, and restaurants.
