Weekend Treks in Coorg

Amazing trip and great experience. Was my first trek and a great one. Though it's good enough for beginners but very adventurous as walking through ridges is challenging and due to monsoon the path was heavily covered with thick bushes and plants. The homestay was good and food was really good. Though they serve vegetarian food but on the special request of the co-ordinators non-vegetarian dish was prepared in the dinner. It is a moderate trek ranging about 9km trek trail to the top of the nishani motte peak. Good one to start off for the beginners. June to Aug would be the great time to visit. Convenient transportation facilities provided. Hospitality was good. Day 2 tour of Places to visit around the place or activities can be included in the package provided.

This is my first trekking trip and the location is apt for a new comer. The feel of both true adventure and exploring nature is well felt. I would advise travellers to pack light for the trek but carry two bottles of water if it's a sunny day. The view from the top is fantastic and during the entire trek we had a nice elevated climb which gave a nice feel of the journey. The organizer had been very good in managing the entire itenerary and also they keep good care of each traveller. I was traveling solo but during the entire journey each of us were nicely introduced.
