Bhutan is the kind of place that quietly changes you, and the Taktsang monastery hike captures that feeling perfectly. The trail up to the Tiger's Nest is challenging but the monastery perched on that cliff is otherworldly. Beyond the monastery, the dzongs, the prayer flags, the valleys and the pace of life here are all deeply calming. Our guide Dorji was incredibly warm, well-read and made every site feel personal and meaningful. One of the most spiritually satisfying trips I have ever taken, Bhutan deserves every bit of its reputation.

We planned this trip with a 2 day headsup. Thrillophilia staff worked with us very closely to get driver and itinerary details in time before I boarded the flight out. We had a rough idea of the itinerary and Thrillophilia staff helped flesh out the detailed itinerary for each day of the 8D/7N tour. The local guide was very knowledgeable in buddhism practices in Bhutan and the driver was super helpful and careful driver as well. The guide accompanied us to the Tiger's Nest trip, encouraging throughout the journey and reassuring my late 50s, 60s parents they can easily complete the trek. Felt safe and cared for throughout the trip. Food choice... Read More
