9 Days Africa Tour Packages

Reviewed by Thrillophilia Africa Operations Team

Africa tour packages for 8 nights and 9 days start from INR 1,39,500 and go up to INR 4,96,500 per person, depending on the package, inclusions, and customisations.

The package includes hotel and lodge stays, daily breakfast, selected lunch and dinner, private transfers, and safari drives. It also includes the Lake Naivasha boat ride, Lake Nakuru day trip and tips and gratuities for the driver, guide, and hotel staff.

The 9 days Africa tour itinerary gives you more time than a 6- or 7-day trip. It allows you to cover Nairobi, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara, along with multiple safari experiences.

Travellers from India can reach Africa through international flights to major gateways such as Johannesburg, Nairobi or other destination-specific airports, depending on the selected itinerary. Since Africa tour packages cover different African countries and regions, the most suitable arrival airport varies by route. Domestic flights, private transfers and road journeys may then connect you to safari reserves, coastal areas and other destinations included in the package.

A 9-day trip gives travellers enough time to choose between a South African holiday and a wildlife-focused East African route. South Africa packages can combine Johannesburg, Hazyview and Cape Town, while Kenya itineraries may cover several national parks and reserves such as Amboseli, Masai Mara, Naivasha and Nakuru.

For travellers planning a 9-day Africa trip, the right itinerary depends largely on whether wildlife, beaches, cities or a combination of experiences is the priority. A Kenya safari allows more time for game drives across different reserves, while South African routes offer a mix of wildlife, scenic landscapes and city experiences. Couples booking the Africa honeymoon tour packages can consider the South African couple-focused itinerary, while group travellers can choose from dedicated Kenya group tours

The best time to visit Africa depends on the destination and experiences included in your itinerary. For Kenya safari routes, the drier months are generally suitable for wildlife viewing and game drives, while South Africa can be planned around the region and experiences you want to cover. Mauritius is generally more comfortable from May to December, when the weather is cooler and drier. For a 9-day trip covering multiple destinations, check the seasonal conditions for each stop before finalising the itinerary.

A Kenya 9 days itinerary works well for couples, families and groups who want more safari time. The longer duration lets you cover Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara in one trip.
