Vietnam Holiday Packages from Delhi

Reviewed by Thrillophilia Vietnam Operations Team

A Vietnam tour package from Delhi starts from INR 24,000 per person for 4-day itineraries and goes beyond INR 103,000 for longer holidays covering multiple destinations over 10 days.

One of the reasons Vietnam appeals to so many travellers is the variety you get in a single trip. You could be walking through Hanoi's Old Quarter one day, cruising between limestone islands in Halong Bay the next, spending time on the beaches of Da Nang, and ending the journey among the cafés and markets of Ho Chi Minh City. Every region has its own character, so the trip never feels repetitive.

That's where Thrillophilia's Vietnam packages from Delhi make planning easier. Instead of figuring out flights, hotel locations, transfers, and sightseeing separately, the itineraries are put together to keep travel between cities practical while giving you enough time to actually enjoy each destination. A Vietnam tour package from Delhi includes budget to luxury hotels, private and shared airport transfers, sightseeing, daily breakfast with veg food, and visa guidance. Premium itineraries may also feature experiences like a Halong Bay cruise, Ba Na Hills, Ninh Binh, Phu Quoc, and the Mekong Delta. Whether you're travelling with family, as a couple, or planning your first international holiday, there are itineraries to match different travel styles.

Getting to Vietnam is convenient too. Direct flights from Delhi operate to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, while one-stop options via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Bangkok offer additional flexibility if you're looking for different timings or fares.

Based on verified bookings over the last few years, Thrillophilia's Vietnam packages from Delhi hold an average 4.7-star traveller rating. From well-designed itineraries and verified stays to 24/7 on-ground assistance throughout the journey, our focus stays on making your Vietnam trip package from Delhi feel organised without taking away the freedom to explore at your own pace.

  • International flights (selected itineraries)
  • Comfortable hotel stays with daily breakfast
  • Airport pickup and drop-off
  • Domestic flights or intercity transfers where required
  • Guided sightseeing tours
  • Halong Bay cruise (itinerary-specific)
  • Entry tickets to included attractions
  • Vietnam e-visa guidance
  • 24×7 on-ground assistance throughout the trip

What is Not Included in a Vietnam Tour Package from Delhi

Although Vietnam trip packages from Delhi cover most major travel essentials, a few expenses remain outside the package so travellers can plan accordingly.

These generally include:

  • Personal expenses such as shopping and laundry
  • Lunch and dinner unless specifically mentioned
  • Travel insurance
  • Tips for guides and drivers
  • Optional activities not listed in the itinerary
  • Personal visa fees wherever applicable
  • Early check-in or late check-out charges
  • Expenses arising due to weather disruptions, flight cancellations, or itinerary changes beyond operational control

How to Reach Vietnam from Delhi

Travelling from Delhi to Vietnam is fairly straightforward, with both direct and connecting flights operating throughout the year. Depending on your destination, you can arrive in either Hanoi in northern Vietnam or Ho Chi Minh City in the south.

Several airlines operate this route, including Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, Air India, IndiGo, Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Batik Air.

Direct Flights

Non-stop flights are available from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to:

  • Hanoi (HAN): approximately 4.5–5.5 hours
  • Ho Chi Minh City (SGN): approximately 5–6 hours

Connecting Flights

Travellers can also choose one-stop flights via the following:

  • Bangkok
  • Kuala Lumpur
  • Singapore

These journeys generally take 7–12 hours, depending on the layover.

Flight Cost

A Delhi to Vietnam flight round trip costs between INR 18,000 and INR 35,000 when booked in advance. During holidays or peak travel months, fares may increase, so booking Delhi to Vietnam round trip tickets 6–8 weeks before departure usually offers better prices.

Visa Guide for a Delhi to Vietnam Trip

Indian passport holders require a valid visa before travelling to Vietnam, and the easiest option is to apply for an e-visa online before departure. As outlined by the Vietnam National Electronic Visa System (official e-visa portal), Indian travellers can apply for both single-entry and multiple-entry e-visas, valid for stays of up to 90 days and usually processed within 3–5 working days. The visa fee is USD 25 for a single-entry visa and USD 50 for a multiple-entry visa.

To apply, travellers need to complete the online application form, upload a scanned copy of their passport's bio page along with a recent passport-sized photograph, and pay the visa fee online. Once approved, the e-visa should be downloaded and carried as a printed copy during travel.

Before departure, keep the following documents ready:

  • Passport with at least six months' validity from the date of arrival
  • Printed Vietnam e-visa approval letter
  • Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
  • Hotel booking confirmations or proof of accommodation
  • Travel insurance (recommended)

Travellers booking Vietnam packages from Delhi with Thrillophilia also receive visa guidance, making the documentation process easier before departure.

Best Time to Visit Vietnam from Delhi

Vietnam stretches over 1,600 kilometres from north to south, so weather varies across regions throughout the year. Choosing the right season depends on which part of the country you plan to explore.

Spring (February to April)

Temperature: 18°C–30°C

February to April is considered one of the most comfortable periods for a Vietnam trip from Delhi. Northern Vietnam enjoys cool weather, central beaches remain pleasant, and southern cities experience relatively dry conditions. It's a good season for Halong Bay cruises, sightseeing, and outdoor activities.

Summer (May to August)

Temperature: 28°C–36°C

Summer brings warmer temperatures, especially in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Coastal destinations such as Da Nang, Hoi An, and Phu Quoc remain popular during this period. Since May to August also coincides with the school holiday season, it is one of the busiest periods for family trips to Vietnam as well, so booking Delhi to Vietnam packages early helps secure better hotel availability.

Autumn (September to November)

Temperature: 20°C–31°C

Autumn is another excellent time to visit Vietnam. Northern landscapes become greener after the rains, temperatures remain comfortable, and tourist crowds begin to reduce. Many travellers consider this one of the best seasons for photography and sightseeing.

Winter (December to January)

Temperature: 15°C–28°C

Northern Vietnam experiences cooler weather, while southern Vietnam remains warm and dry. This period is especially popular among travellers looking for a winter international holiday from India. Since demand increases significantly around Christmas and New Year, early booking is recommended.

Best Places to Visit in Vietnam

Vietnam tour packages from Delhi combine two or three regions so you don't end up seeing the same kind of landscape throughout your holiday. These are the best places to visit in Vietnam:

Hanoi

Hanoi is usually where your Vietnam journey begins, and it's a city best explored on foot. Hanoi tour packages often give travellers enough time to explore the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, historic temples, bustling street markets, and roadside cafés at a relaxed pace. You can spend hours wandering through narrow lanes, watching scooters weave through the streets, or simply sitting by the lake as locals go about their evening. If you enjoy places that feel lived-in rather than polished for tourists, Hanoi leaves a lasting impression.

Halong Bay

Even after seeing countless photographs, Halong Bay looks different in person. Halong Bay is best experienced on one of the many cruises in Vietnam, where limestone islands seem to appear out of nowhere as your boat moves through calm waters. Whether you're watching sunrise from the deck or passing hidden caves by boat, it's one of those places where you naturally slow down without trying.

Da Nang

If you want a break from sightseeing-heavy days, Da Nang offers exactly that. The city combines long beaches with modern cafés, riverside promenades, and easy access to nearby attractions. Many travellers use it as a comfortable base before heading to Hoi An or Ba Na Hills because everything feels well connected without being too crowded.

Hoi An

Hoi An feels completely different once evening arrives. As lanterns begin lighting up along the river, the old streets become quieter, cafés stay open a little later, and the town takes on a relaxed atmosphere. A well-planned Hoi An tour itinerary usually leaves enough free time to wander through the heritage streets, browse local markets, and enjoy peaceful riverside walks without rushing from one attraction to another.

Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City is fast, energetic, and constantly moving. One minute you're walking past French colonial buildings, and the next you're surrounded by rooftop cafés, shopping streets, and busy local markets. It's no surprise that Ho Chi Minh City tour packages remain among the most popular ways to explore southern Vietnam. If you enjoy cities where history and modern life exist side by side, you'll probably end up spending more time here than you expected.

Phu Quoc

Phu Quoc is where many travellers choose to unwind before flying back home. Phu Quoc is also known for its clear water, relaxed beaches, seafood restaurants, and resorts ranging from boutique stays to luxury Vietnam trips centred around private beachfront experiences. There are also quieter stretches of coastline if you simply want a day doing very little. It's an easy addition to longer Delhi to Vietnam packages.

Top Things to Do in Vietnam

A trip to Vietnam from Delhi isn't about ticking off monuments one after another. The experiences change from one region to the next, so most itineraries include a mix of nature, history, local culture, and outdoor activities. Below are the best things to do in Vietnam:

Cruise Through Halong Bay

Spending a few hours or even a night on a Halong Bay cruise is one of the experiences travellers remember long after returning home. Between kayaking, cave visits, fresh seafood lunches, and watching the changing landscape from the deck, the journey itself becomes the highlight rather than the destination. That's exactly what Tarun Verma from Delhi mentioned after booking the Wonders of Vietnam with FREE Visit to Fansipan Mountain itinerary. "...Ha Long Bay junk boat overnight was everything people say. The food alone was worth the trip." For many travellers, the cruise ends up becoming one of the highlights of the entire holiday.

Walk Across the Golden Bridge

Standing on the Golden Bridge is very different from seeing it online. The giant stone hands, mountain views, and cool weather at Ba Na Hills make it one of the most visited attractions in central Vietnam. If you're visiting Da Nang, it's usually one of the easiest day trips to include.

Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels

Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels as part of your Vietnam tour package from Delhi and get a closer look at Vietnam's wartime history. Walking through sections of the underground network and learning how people lived here gives much more context than simply reading about it in a museum. It's one of the most meaningful experiences near Ho Chi Minh City.

Take a Boat Ride in Ninh Binh

Instead of beaches, Ninh Binh offers some of the most peaceful boating experiences in Vietnam, with rivers winding between limestone mountains and green rice fields. Sitting in a small rowing boat while passing through caves and quiet countryside feels completely different from the pace of Vietnam's cities, making it a favourite among nature lovers.

Go Snorkelling Around Phu Quoc

The waters around Phu Quoc are ideal if you want to spend a day out at sea. Snorkelling trips usually combine multiple islands, coral reefs, and swimming stops, giving you a chance to experience a different side of Vietnam beyond its cities and cultural landmarks.

Try Vietnamese Street Food

Some of the best meals in Vietnam come from small roadside eateries rather than restaurants. Whether it's a bowl of pho in Hanoi, fresh spring rolls in Ho Chi Minh City, or Vietnamese coffee served on a tiny plastic stool, trying local food becomes part of the travel experience itself.

Best Vietnam Itineraries from Delhi

Whether you're planning a quick escape or a longer holiday across multiple regions, these itineraries cover Vietnam's most popular destinations at a comfortable pace.

Vietnam is much easier for vegetarian travellers than many people expect. Cities like Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hoi An have dedicated vegetarian cafés, Indian restaurants, and vegan-friendly eateries, especially around tourist areas.

Travellers booking Vietnam packages from Delhi can easily find dishes like vegetable pho, tofu rice, fresh spring rolls, stir-fried noodles, sticky rice, tropical fruits, and coconut desserts. Restaurants such as Namaste Hanoi, Tandoor Saigon, Shamballa Vegetarian Restaurant, and Minh Hien Vegetarian Restaurant are among the popular choices for Indian travellers.

Each Vietnam tour package from Delhi by Thrillophilia includes daily breakfast with vegetarian meal options, while travellers can explore local cafés and Indian restaurants for lunch and dinner. Yet, there are select packages in which you can get other meals besides breakfast as well. Further, Jain meals and customised dietary requests can also be arranged in many hotels with prior notice.

Why Travellers Choose Thrillophilia for Delhi to Vietnam Tour Packages

Planning a Vietnam trip package from Delhi involves multiple cities, domestic flights, cruises, airport transfers, and hotel check-ins. By having these arranged together, Thrillophilia makes the journey far more convenient than managing every booking separately.

  2. Verified Hotels & Reliable Transfers: Every hotel and transfer partner is carefully selected before being added to a package. Whether it's airport pickup, cruise boarding, or domestic flight coordination, travellers receive support throughout the journey. That's exactly what Delhi traveller Nishit Talsania, who booked the Offbeat Vietnam Sightseeing Tour, appreciated after his trip. As he shared, "...we were worried about the logistics, but the local coordinator handled everything. Even when we had a small flight delay, the transfer team waited for us patiently at the airport and greeted us with a smile. Looking forward to our next adventure with this team." It's these small operational details that often make travelling in a new country feel much easier.
  3. Flexible Travel Styles: Whether you're planning a honeymoon, family holiday, solo adventure, or group vacation to Vietnam, each Vietnam tour package from Delhi has itineraries suited to different travel styles and budgets. Many Delhi to Vietnam packages can also be customised before booking.
  4. Support Before and During the Trip: From visa guidance before departure to on-ground assistance after arrival, travellers have access to destination experts throughout the trip. Dedicated support teams also help coordinate transfers, sightseeing schedules, and any operational assistance during the holiday.

Vietnam was my wife's pick and I went along not particularly excited. By Day 2 I was the one who did not want to leave. The Hanoi Old Quarter on foot with a local guide who grew up there, the stories behind every alley, the coffee shops that have been running the same way for 70 years, the egg coffee at a rooftop spot with no sign. Ha Long Bay junk boat overnight was everything people say. The food alone was worth the trip. Thrillophilia handled the internal corindation well, no stress during the holiday.
