- The official currency of Vietnam is the Vietnamese Dong (VND). It’s advisable to carry some cash for small purchases, though credit cards are widely accepted.
- It is advisable that you dress modestly (keeping your upper arms and legs covered) when visiting any religious sites.
- Always carry tissue paper or wet wipes with you as most public toilets in Vietnam do not provide them.
- To mitigate health risks, it is strongly advised to refrain from drinking tap water directly in Vietnam. Instead, carry refillable water bottles.
- Indian tourists can obtain a Vietnam visa online (E-Visa) or upon arrival at the airport with a validity of 30 days. Charges have to be paid by the tourists.
- As per Indian Govt. rules, a Tax Collection at Source (TCS) of 5% for Foreign Remittance shall be paid additionally that you can claim while filing the income tax returns. Kindly consult a tax advisor/consultant for further information.
