For years I have been dreaming about doing this trek to visit the haunting Skeletal Lake and finally this year i got the chance to do so, thanks to Thrillophilia. It was such a magical journey for me and my friends. We all were challenged to walk up the mountains but had a blast while doing so. And not to forget, the superb views of the peaks were amazing. Make sure to carry your ID proofs before starting this trek though because this is a once in a lifetime experience and you will not want to miss it.

To be honest, I never knew something such as the Roopkund Trek existed. But when I came across this on the site thrillophilia.com, it intrigued me greatly. Is the Valley of Flowers as beautiful as it claims to be? Yes it actually is! I discovered all this and more during the trek to the National Park. My friends and I actually tried to count the number of types of flowers, but there were just so many!

The whole of the journey was an amazing experience for our entire group. The challenges we faced during the trek kept us going and finally on the 6th day of our trek, we were beside the most mysterious pond. Seriously, the location, view and the stories relate to this lake really makes it a pond of several mystery.

I really want to take this trek once again. There might be hundreds of treks, but this one is one of its own kind. The gradual to difficult climb, the mesmerizing feel that exists during the trek and the mysteries of the lake, everything resulted in an everlasting memory in my mind.

The Har Ki Doon trek was one of the best experiences I had so far. The beauty of the Himalayas, the beautiful alpine forests, glaciers, narrow passes and the other things in this trek was just spectacular and way above what I had thought. Also, as the trek offers easy to bit of difficult terrains, the beginners can get started with this trek. I highly recommend this trek for all.
