Maldives was always on our bucket list and the experience actually lived up to expectations. The resort recommended by Thrillophilia was peaceful and less crowded which we really liked. Water villa experience was amazing especially during sunset.

Staying at Medhufushi Island Resort in the Maldives felt like stepping into a completely different world. It was the perfect choice for our trip! A huge thank you to Shivani from the sales team for suggesting such a beautiful resort.
This place is more on the quiet side. Mostly couples and very calm throughout. After sunset it gets even more silent, which we actually liked.
Villas are modern, clean, and give proper privacy. No disturbance, no crowd feeling anywhere on the island. Food was decent, not extraordinary but good enough for the stay. Breakfast had enough options. Service was smooth. Staff were helpful but not over the top.
If you’re expecting a lot of activities, this may feel slow. But if the idea is to just switch off and relax, it works well.
Stayed at Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa for 4 nights. Resort is not very large, which we actually liked. Easy to walk around, nothing feels too far. Villas are well maintained, a bit traditional in style but comfortable.
Food was good overall, especially breakfast. Enough options so it didn’t feel repetitive. Staff were friendly, not overly formal, which made things easy.
Water around the island is very clear. Even just walking near the beach in the morning felt nice, very quiet.
Trip felt relaxed. Not too many activities, mostly just slow days and good rest.
Stayed at Dusit Thani Maldives Resort for our Maldives trip and overall it was a really good experience. Food was actually better than expected. Breakfast had enough variety, and dinners never felt repetitive, which matters when you’re staying multiple days.
What really made the stay smooth was the service. The staff were warm and quick to respond.The whole resort has a calm and premium vibe. It’s the kind of place where you genuinely slow down and enjoy the surroundings instead of trying to do too much.
