Overview

About the Destination:

Call it ‘Island of Gods,’ ‘Island of Peace,’ ‘Island of Love’ or surprisingly the ‘Island of Hinduism’ too, Bali has it all! This very close to nature destination is a part of the 33 provinces of the Republic of Indonesia, and is situated between Java and Lombok. The island has mountains, hills, beaches, volcanoes and winsome rice terraces to make it a vibrant and deeply hued place. Pretty much a paradise on earth! Besides this, a plethora of archaeological, historical and cultural attractions makes Bali one of the world’s most preferred island destinations by all age-groups. Especially for Indians, this place is undoubtedly a home away from home, in the truest sense!

Today, you will be flying from Chennai to Bali. Arriving at your destination, check-in into a hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 2 - Bali Exploration

Pura Goa Lawah Temple (Bali Bat Temple), Uluwatu Temple, Kecak Dance, Herp Tour

Indulge in scrumptious breakfast, energise yourself and begin your second day with a visit to the holy Pura Goa Lawah or the Bali Bat Temple. Best time to visit is during the morning to witness the locals offering prayers. Next, take a break with the lunch and leave for the sea-struck South Kuta. Here, you will get to visit the Balinese Sea Temple, Uluwatu. It is one of the 9 directional temples worshipped to save Bali from evil spirits. Adore the various shades of the Balinese Sea, complete the Kecak Dance Show and head back to the hotel. Energise yourselves and start with the Herp Tour post sunset.

  • Day 3 - Bali Exploration

Ulun Danu, Bali Forest, Water Snakes at Tanah Lot

Make your way through the lush Bali Forest towards central Denpasar to reach the Balinese ‘post card’ Ulun danu. This place stands tall at the edge of Lake Bratan and is truly a paradise for shutterbugs. Start for down south post lunch to reach Tanah Lot – a structure carved out of a monolith. Get slithered by the presence of water snakes here. Just after sunset, your second session of Herp Tour commences.

  • Day 4 - Bali - Javanese Island - Kawah Ijen

4km Hike, Kuta Beach, Water Sports, Ferry Ride, Night Trek

Your fourth day will intrigue the traveller in you! Begin with a 4km hike, to start at the Kuta Beach with water sports like Scuba Diving and Sea Bed Walking. Post this, a lunch session shall satiate your hunger and then, head for the Gilimanuk Ferry Link. From here, a 45 minute ferry ride will await you to take you onto the Javanese Island. Relax a little and then travel to the Ijen base. Start your night trek to one of the world’s most breath-taking volcanoes, the Kawah Ijen. And it will not be fair, if you don’t stay back at the Ijen crater to witness the ‘blue sulphur flames.’

  • Day 5 - Return to Kawah Ijen from Bali

Jimbaran Beach, Dinner at the Beach

Start back for Kuta from the Ijen crater. Visit one of the best beaches in Bali, the Jimbaran Beach. Here, you will settle down for a dinner at a table facing the beach. Enjoy the meal and then head back to the hotel.
