Bangkok Packages

Reviewed by the Thrillophilia Thailand operations team

Bangkok tour packages start from INR 13,500 to INR 152,000 for 5 days to 11 days, which are curated around how travellers want to experience the city from the start.

Most Bangkok tours work best when travellers select the right travel style and the area first, whether it is temple-focused exploration, riverside stays, or shopping-led itineraries. The city is ideal for a first Southeast Asia trip, a short break, or a pre-beach stop before heading to the islands. Traffic conditions, hotel location, and travellers’ daily plans shape the overall experience in Bangkok.

Bangkok packages from India by Thrillophilia generally include accommodations and airport transfers, along with fully customisable itineraries. We further provide visa assistance, pre-booked selected premium experiences, and 24/7 on-trip guidance.

With over 10,000 verified travellers booking trips to Southeast Asia, Thrillophilia's Bangkok tour packages are expertly curated to balance your comfort, sightseeing coverage, and practical pacing. Thrillophilia has successfully operated more than 10,000+ verified Bangkok trips from India, maintaining a consistent and exceptional rating of 4.7 stars.

Suresh Pawar, one of our verified traveller who booked the Best of Thailand & Malaysia with FREE Tickets to Golden Buddha package shared in April 2026 that, “Booked Malaysia for the family through Thrillophilia. Kuala Lumpur Petronas Towers at night was the first thing we did and it set the mood for the whole trip. Penang food scene was something we did not expect to enjoy as much as we did. Batu Caves was an early morning suggestion by our coordinator that turned out to be a great call. Hotels were good, transfers were on time. No major issues. Good value overall.”

How to Reach to Bangkok

To reach Bangkok from Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram) for a trip, flying is the only practical option, as there are no direct land or sea routes. Since there are no nonstop flights operating directly out of Trivandrum International Airport (TRV) to Bangkok, you will need to take a connecting flight or travel to a nearby city like Kochi for a direct flight.

Route Options by Air

Option 1: Connecting Flights from Trivandrum (TRV)

You can easily board a 1-stop or 2-stop connecting flight from Trivandrum. The most popular transit hubs are Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Singapore (SIN), Bengaluru (BLR), or Mumbai (BOM).

  • Common Airlines: AirAsia, Scoot, Malaysia Airlines, and IndiGo.
  • Total Travel Time: Typically ranges from 7 to 11 hours, depending entirely on layover durations.

Option 2: Nonstop Flights via Kochi (COK)

If you want to avoid layovers, you can take a short KSRTC bus, taxi, or train ride from Trivandrum to Cochin International Airport (COK), which sits roughly 190 km away. Kochi offers direct, nonstop flights straight to Bangkok, which clock a flight time of just around 4 to 4.5 hours.

Visa and Entry Notes for Indian Travellers

Thailand’s visa policy changes frequently; Always check against the official website before applying for a visa.

Indian tourists need no visa for a Thailand tour package if they are Indian passport holders. As confirmed by the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi, Indians are expected to have a 60-day visa for tourism and short business trips. It officially added India to its "Form 60" exemption list, which lets people stay in Thailand for 60 days without a visa. The Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai government's public relations office both confirmed this change.

Now in the Bangkok tour plan, you can go for a short trip without any visa hassle. Keep a note that visa-free entry and entry-requirement-free are two different things. Don't stop reading after seeing "it's visa-free"; there is a lot more than this. There are three types of entry concepts.

  1. Visa Exemption for 60 days – No prior application needed for Indian passport holders for tourism and short business trips. With zero cost, no airport fee, and no need for advance application. You can extend it to 30 more days directly from the Thai immigration office in Thailand. Indians need to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card before departure and carry proof of hotels and return flights.
  2. Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) – This card is mandatory for Indian travellers and non-Thai citizens. This needs to be completed within 3 days of arrival. Apply on the official site. Without the card, you are not allowed to board any airline to Thailand.
  3. Thailand e-Visa – Travellers who are planning to stay beyond 60 days for work or study purposes need an e-visa for Thailand. Apply for it from the official site, Thai e-Visa takes 14 days for processing. You will receive an email with the e-visa once approved. Upload the biodata page of your passport and a recent photo while applying.

Best Time to Plan a Bangkok Tour Package

A Bangkok package can be planned across three broad seasons, i.e., peak, shoulder, and waning seasons. However, each season requires a slightly different approach to daily planning. Moreover, the Bangkok tour package price may vary as per the season. During the peak season, the cost of a Bangkok trip may be higher, including higher crowds. Book your Bangkok tour package with flights 3 to 4 months prior for better prices and availability.

Peak Season

The peak season (November to February) provides the most comfortable weather, making it suitable for temple visits, outdoor sightseeing, and walking-based exploration. The temperature remains between 22 and 30 degrees with a lower rate of rainfall. Suitable for evening walks, temple visits, and beach days. You will get overall pleasant weather, which is best for first-time travellers. This is the time most travellers plan for a Bangkok tour or a romantic Bangkok honeymoon tour package; the prices of hotels and flights are higher, however, the overall experience is worthy.

Shoulder Season

The shoulder season (March to May) is hotter, which means travellers can explore malls, indoor attractions, and late-evening activities like night markets, rooftop dining, cultural shows, and river cruises. Temperatures rise to 33 to 38 degrees around April and May, accompanied by high humidity. A useful detail here is to skip planning long walks and many market visits, as you will not get the same experience as in the November-December window. It is also a good time to get better hotel deals compared to peak season if bookings are done in advance.

Waning Season

The waning season (June to October) brings regular rain showers, but trips are manageable with flexible planning. By this time, rain enters fully, giving the best prices for flights and hotels. You can't do anything outside or participate in any water sports. Past travellers mentioned that the rain is heavy but short, and it mostly happens in the afternoon. River cruises, indoor experiences, and buffer time in the Bangkok package help deal with weather situations. Better hotel deals and lower crowds make this period ideal for budget-conscious travellers.

Top Places to Visit in a Bangkok tour package

Your experience is based on what kind of places to visit in Bangkok, what your itinerary allows, and what you can skip on a short trip. Based on travellers' reviews and patterns, we have a few curated lists of major attractions.

  • The Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew: Thailand's most iconic landmark. This former royal residence houses the highly revered Emerald Buddha. Note: Modest dress (shoulders and knees covered) is strictly enforced.
  • Chatuchak Weekend Market: One of the world's largest open-air markets. Open Saturdays and Sundays, it offers thousands of stalls selling everything from street food to vintage clothing and crafts.
  • Chinatown (Yaowarat Road): Famous for its neon lights, electric atmosphere, and incredible array of street food vendors.
  • Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha): Located just south of the Grand Palace, it features a massive, 46-metre-long gold-plated Buddha and is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage.
  • Maeklong Railway Market: Located about 70 km from the city centre, it's a unique experience where vendors quickly fold up their awnings as a commuter train passes directly through the market.

Top Experiences to Include in Bangkok Tour Packages

Imtiaz Ahmed, one of our verified travellers who booked the Thailand Islands & City Highlights | A Perfect All-in-One Couple Trip package, shared in February 2026 that, “The trip was mind-blowing, filled with joy and happiness. We had spent the best days of our lives in Thailand. The beaches, the food, people, city, transport and transfer – everything was just praiseworthy. The trip was planned and executed magnificently by Thrillophilia. Our coordinator, Mr. Arun Kumar Kumawat, was very kind, generous, and responsive throughout the journey. Thanks to him a lot. This was our 2nd trip with Thrillophilia, and we expect more such trips ahead. Thanks a lot again, Thrillophilia and Mr Arun Kumar Kumawat."

These are the top things to do in Bangkok for your upcoming Bangkok tour packages

  • Chao Phraya Cruise and Riverfront Evenings: A cruise along the Chao Phraya River is one of the most amazing experiences to include, as it is ideal for everyone on Thailand family tour packages, couples, and first-time travellers. During a cruise, you pass through key attractions like Wat Arun and the Grand Palace, which are illuminated at night. Most cruises also include live music, buffet dining, and open-air decks, allowing travellers to enjoy views and food in one setting. The riverfront areas like Asiatique The Riverfront are one of the places people love to include in Thailand group tour packages because of their beauty, ease of shopping, and food.
  • Temple and Heritage Half-Day Planning: A focused half-day around Bangkok’s historic core lets travellers explore key landmarks without overloading the schedule. Start with the Grand Palace, where you can see royal architecture and then visit the Temple of the Emerald Buddhas, one of the significant religious sites in Thailand. At Wat Arun, you can see unique Khmer-style prang architecture and climb partway up the structure for river views.
  • Rooftop and Skyline Experiences: Bangkok’s skyline experiences are best planned in the evening, when dazzling city lights give a mesmerising experience. Popular rooftop venues like Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar, Ertigo, Moon Bar and Sky Bar provide an open-air setting with wide views. At these venues, you can enjoy drinks, dinner, or simple seating experiences while admiring Bangkok’s river stretches and skyline.
  • Shopping Districts and Market Circuits: The Siam area is the main hub for malls like CentralWorld, MBK Center, and Siam Paragon, making it ideal for indoor shopping. For street markets, places like Chatuchak Weekend Market provide a large-scale experience with thousands of stalls. If you look for wholesale-style shopping and budget fashion, Pratunam Market is an ideal place.

We also enjoyed some free time to explore the local markets on our own, which gave us a chance to interact with the locals and try authentic food.”

"First, I would like to thank the entire team at Thrillophilia who helped me with my specific requirements. I am especially grateful to Himanshu for his proper planning. Even when I was busy with other work, he always provided all the details whenever I asked. He truly understood my situation and planned everything perfectly. My only challenges were with the eSIM, which does not work on all Android phones, and the fact that my parents only speak our mother tongue, Kannada. However, I managed to handle that, and everything else went exceptionally well. My parents felt great, and I am very happy with the service!"

Thailand trip with friends was complete madness in a good way. Bangkok nightlife, Phuket beaches, random café hopping everything was fun. Special mention to the on-ground team because pickups and tours were always on time.

Thailand is incredible and elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai was the most emotional experience of the trip, watching these animals, feeding them, walking with them. The temples, the food, the people. Everything was perfect about our trip.

Overall good experience. Hotels were decent and transfers were on time. Faced slight delay in one pickup but it was handled. Krabi beaches were very nice. Bangkok felt crowded.

Bangkok Tour faqs

How many days are enough for a first Bangkok trip?

For a first-time visitor, a 4 to 5-day package is the perfect duration to experience Bangkok without feeling rushed. This timeframe allows you 2 days to explore iconic cultural landmarks like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, and another 2 days for shopping at Chatuchak Market or taking a day trip to a floating market. It also leaves your evenings free to enjoy the city's famous street food scene, night markets, and riverside dinner cruises. If you plan to extend your trip to nearby beach destinations like Pattaya or Hua Hin, you should opt for a 7 to 8-day combined package.

What is the best time to visit Bangkok for good weather?

The absolute best time to visit Bangkok for great weather is during the cool and dry season from November to February, when the monsoon rains have cleared and humidity levels are at their lowest. These months offer pleasant temperatures averaging around 25°C to 30°C, making it incredibly comfortable for full-day city sightseeing, temple hops, and walking through outdoor night markets. March to May brings intense summer heat with temperatures frequently crossing 35°C, while June to October marks the rainy monsoon season, which brings heavy downpours but much lower hotel rates.

Are Bangkok tour packages suitable for first-time international travellers?

Yes, Bangkok tour packages are exceptionally well-suited for first-time international travellers because they offer an affordable, highly accessible, and incredibly tourist-friendly introduction to foreign travel. Most structured packages eliminate logistical stress by bundling airport transfers, English-speaking guides, pre-booked hotels, and entry tickets, which beautifully cushions the language barrier. Thailand's smooth tourist infrastructure, combined with Bangkok's budget-friendly luxury, ensures that newcomers can navigate a foreign country with complete ease and confidence. Furthermore, the city's 30-day visa-free policy removes complicated pre-travel paperwork, making it a perfectly seamless destination for your very first stamp abroad.

How much does a Bangkok trip cost with and without flights?

For standard Bangkok tour packages per person, a Bangkok vacation without flights costs between INR 13,500 and INR 35,000 for mid-range budget travellers. This covers comfortable 3-star to 4-star hotel stays, local transportation via the BTS Skytrain, entry tickets to major sights, and sampling local Thai cuisine. When including round-trip economy flights from India (typically costing INR 18,000 to INR 25,000), the total trip cost ranges from INR 42,000 to INR 55,000. Luxury itineraries featuring premium hotels and upscale fine dining easily push the total expense to INR 1,00,000 or higher

Do Indians need a visa or special entry documents for Bangkok?

Indian citizens do not need a pre-approved tourist visa for Bangkok tour packages, as the Thai Cabinet has officially approved a 30-day visa exemption scheme for Indian passport holders. Under these updated rules, you can enter Thailand completely visa-free for leisure trips up to 30 days, though you must complete the mandatory Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 72 hours before your flight. At Bangkok immigration, you just need to present a passport with at least 6 months of validity, a confirmed return flight ticket, hotel bookings, and proof of sufficient funds (at least 20,000 THB in cash or equivalent).

Is vegetarian food easily available in Bangkok?

Yes, vegetarian food is widely available in Bangkok, especially in areas like Sukhumvit, Silom, and Siam which host numerous dedicated Indian and international plant-based restaurants. You can easily find pure vegetarian, Jain, and vegan meals, while local Thai street food stalls can customize dishes like Pad Thai or fried rice by omitting meat and fish sauce if you specify "Jay" (pure vegan/vegetarian) or "Mang-sa-wi-rat" (ovo-lacto vegetarian). Additionally, standard convenience stores like 7-Eleven stock labeled vegetarian ready-to-eat meals, making budget-friendly options highly accessible across the city.

Which area should I stay in for shopping, family, nightlife, or culture?

For a multi-purpose Bangkok trip, Sukhumvit (especially around Asoke) is the absolute best area to stay in because it strikes a perfect balance between massive shopping malls, family-friendly transport, and vibrant nightlife. Alternatively, Siam is a premier choice for mega-mall shopping and family entertainment, while Silom blends upscale business amenities with diverse dining and dynamic night markets. If your primary focus is historic culture and temples, the Old City (Rattanakosin) or the Chao Phraya Riverside area provides an unmatched traditional atmosphere and scenic water views.

Is Bangkok better as a standalone trip or with another Thailand destination?

For a first-time traveller, Bangkok tour packages is best experienced when combined with another Thailand destination like Phuket, Pattaya, or Krabi to enjoy a balanced mix of city energy and tropical relaxation. Spending 3 days soaking in Bangkok's vibrant shopping, street food, and historic temples pairs beautifully with a 3 to 4-day escape to the beaches or the lush mountains of Chiang Mai. However, if your trip is shorter than 4 days or if your primary goals are shopping and urban exploration, Bangkok serves perfectly as a standalone destination.

How do I get around Bangkok during my trip?

The most efficient way to get around Bangkok is by using the BTS Skytrain and MRT Underground trains, which are cheap, air-conditioned, and completely bypass the city's notorious traffic gridlocks. For travelling along the historic riverside or reaching major temples like Wat Arun, the Chao Phraya Express Boats offer a highly scenic, traffic-free, and budget-friendly alternative. When travelling with family or late at night, you can easily hail affordable rides using apps like Grab or Bolt, while iconic three-wheeled Tuk-Tuks are fun for short, novelty trips, provided you negotiate the fare beforehand.

What currency is used in Bangkok and how should I manage money?

The official currency used in Bangkok is the Thai Baht (THB), and managing money is easiest by carrying a mix of cash and a reliable travel card. You should carry cash for street food, night markets, and tuk-tuks, which you can get by withdrawing from local ATMs (incurring a standard 220 THB fee per transaction) or by exchanging physical Indian Rupees or US Dollars at high-rate counters like SuperRich across the city. For malls, hotels, and upscale dining, zero-markup multi-currency forex cards (like Niyo or Scapia) or standard credit cards are widely accepted and offer the best conversion rates.
